wizard101 lvl 90 gear
Of course! Level 90 is a major gear milestone in Wizard101, marking the transition from mid-game to the start of the end-game. You have several strong options, each with a different balance of stats and farming difficulty. Heres a breakdown of the best Level 90 gear sets, from the generally recommended to class-specific alternatives. The Undisputed Best: Waterworks Gear (Level 60) Yes, you read that right. The gear from the Waterworks dungeon (in Crab Alley, Wizard City) is so powerful that it often remains best-in-slot until level 100. It's the standard against which all other gear is measured for many levels. Why it's still best: It offers an incredible balance of Damage, Resist, Critical, and Power Pip chance that isn't consistently matched until Darkmoor at level 100. Farm Time: Moderate. A few runs should get you the Hat, Robe, and Boots for your school. Verdict: If you don't have it, get it. You will use it for 40 levels. The Level 90 Alternatives These are upgrades in specific areas but often involve trade-offs. They are best if you're min-maxing or want a change. House of Scales (Level 90+) Location: Drum Jungle, Khrysalis. The Trade-Off: More Damage & Critical, but Less Resist than Waterworks. Best For: Offensive wizards who prefer a "glass cannon" approach or who find they have enough resist from other sources (pet, jewels). Notable Piece: The Robe is often the most sought-after, offering significant damage and critical. Tartarus (Level 90+) Location: Underworld, Aquila. A Mixed Bag: The gear from Hades (final boss) is interesting but usually not a full-set upgrade. Hades Wand: The Chronicle of the Divine Paradox is a fantastic wand, offering damage, critical, and a pip. Often used until level 100+. Armor: The hats and robes can be good, but typically the Waterworks or House of Scales gear is more balanced. The boots are not recommended. Crafting: Wintertusk Gear (Level 56) & Avalon Crafted (Level 70-80) These crafted sets are excellent stepping stones to Waterworks or House of Scales, but are generally outclassed by level 90. If you have good crafted gear from Avalon, you can comfortably skip farming until House of Scales. Gear by Slot: The Level 90 Meta Setup Heres what a typical optimized wizard at level 90 might wear: Hat: Waterworks Hat (Best balance) or House of Scales Hat (More offensive). Robe: Waterworks Robe (Best balance) or House of Scales Robe (Best for Damage/Critical). Boots: Waterworks Boots (Almost always the best. The House of Scales boots are not ideal). Wand: Hades Wand (Chronicle) from Tartarus or the Sky Iron Hasta (Level 30+, from Mount Olympus) for the permanent +10% Damage. Athame: Blade of the Felled Titan (Level 90, from Tartarus - Gladiator Dimachaerus) is top-tier. Amulet: Shango's Deathblade Amulet (Level 90, from Mirror Lake in Zafaria) gives a school-specific blade item card. A simple Life Mastery Amulet (if you're not a Life wizard) is also a great option for healing. Ring: Alpha and Omega Ring (Level 90, from Tartarus - Gladiator Dimachaerus) or Signet of the Doomed (Level 85, from Bazaar/Crafting). Deck: Any deck with the right pip count and a useful card or set bonus. Look for Critical or Damage jewels on it. School-Specific Tips & Exceptions Ice: Waterworks is fantastic due to the high resist. Stick with it. Life & Death: The House of Scales robe is a huge damage boost, which helps with healing and hitting. Consider making the switch. Fire & Storm: The offensive power of House of Scales is very tempting. If you have a resist pet, you can offset the loss from Waterworks. Myth & Balance: Both are good candidates for House of Scales gear to boost their damage output. Final Recommendation: If you're new to 90 or have moderate gear: Farm Waterworks first. It's reliable and will carry you to 100. If you have Waterworks and want more punch: Try farming House of Scales for the Robe and Hat, but keep your Waterworks boots. Always farm for your wand, athame, and ring in Tartarusthey are clear upgrades. Your Pet is Crucial: A pet with Damage, Resist, and Critical or Mighty talents is essential to complement your gear and cover any weaknesses. The bottom line: Level 90 is about fine-tuning. Waterworks is the safe, powerful choice. House of Scales is the aggressive, damage-focused alternative. Mix and match based on your playstyle and what your pet provides!

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
