your os is unsupported world of warcraft
If you're encountering an "unsupported operating system" error when trying to run World of Warcraft (WoW), here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue: Check System Requirements Ensure your OS meets the minimum requirements for World of Warcraft (as of The War Within expansion, 2024): Windows: - Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903 or later) - Windows 11 64-bit - Older versions (e.g., Windows 7, 8, or 32-bit OS) are no longer supported. macOS: - macOS 12.x (Monterey) or later (Apple Silicon or Intel). - Older versions (e.g., macOS 10.15 Catalina) are no longer supported. Linux: - Not officially supported, but may work via Proton/Wine (check Lutris or ProtonDB). Update Your Operating System Windows: - Press Win + R, type winver, and check your version. - Update via Settings > Windows Update. - If on Windows 7/8, upgrade to Windows 10/11 (free upgrade may still be available). macOS: - Go to Apple Menu > About This Mac > Software Update. - If your Mac is too old, consider using Cloud Gaming (GeForce NOW). Run WoW in Compatibility Mode (Windows Only) If you're on an older Windows version (not recommended): Right-click the WoW.exe shortcut. Select Properties > Compatibility. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose Windows 10. Click Apply and try launching again. (Note: This is a temporary fix; upgrading your OS is strongly recommended.) Check for WoW Updates Open the Battle.net launcher and ensure WoW is updated. Click the gear icon > Scan and Repair to fix corrupted files. Try a Clean Reinstall If the issue persists: Uninstall WoW via Battle.net > Options > Uninstall. Delete remaining files in: - Windows: C:Program Files (x86)World of Warcraft - macOS: /Applications/World of Warcraft Reinstall from Battle.net. Alternative Solutions GeForce NOW / Xbox Cloud Gaming: Stream WoW if your OS is too old. Dual Boot / Virtual Machine: Install a supported OS (not ideal for gaming performance). Linux Workarounds: Use Wine/Proton (check WoW on Linux guides). Final Note Blizzard no longer supports older OS versions due to security and technical limitations. Upgrading is the best long-term solution. Let me know if you need help with a specific OS!

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
