Of course! Wintertusk is a major gear milestone in Wizard101, marking the transition from mid-game to end-game preparation. The gear you get here will carry you through the rest of Arc 2 (Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca) and even into early Arc 3 (Khrysalis). Heres a comprehensive breakdown of Wintertusk gear, including the famous Crafted Gear and other options. The Crown Jewel: Crafted Wintertusk Gear (Level 56) This is the primary goal for most wizards. It's significantly better than anything from packs or previous worlds and is obtained through crafting. Where to Get It: You must complete the crafting quest "Test of the Spheres" from Lydia Greyrose in the Frostholm village (Savat). This unlocks the recipes. Key Crafted Sets: Wintertusk Crafted Hat, Robe, & Boots: Each school has its own named set (e.g., "Raven's Winter Down Hat" for Ice, "Wildfire's Scorching Tunic" for Fire). Bears Claw of (School) / Deer Knight's Ring: Crafted athame and ring from Agnar Stonetooth in Jotun (Nordrilund). These are excellent. Why It's So Good: Massive Health Boost: The first gear to give truly substantial health (often 2,000+ HP with the full set). High Damage & Resist: Provides a near-perfect balance of Damage, Resist, and Power Pip chance. Critical & Block (New Stats): Wintertusk gear introduces Critical Strike Rating and Critical Block Rating, which become crucial in Celestia and beyond. Sample Stats (for a Storm Wizard's "Tempest Lord's" set): Hat: 11% Storm Damage, 6% Universal Resist, 66 Critical Rating, 56 Block Rating Robe: 13% Storm Damage, 7% Universal Resist, 84 Critical Rating, 72 Block Rating Boots: 8% Storm Damage, 5% Universal Resist, 50 Critical Rating, 42 Block Rating Set Bonus: +5% Power Pip Chance & +65 Health Alternative & Supplemental Gear Vendor Gear (Level 56) Sold by Agnar Stonetooth in Jotun and Nikki in Vestrilund. Pros: Good immediate upgrade if you haven't crafted yet. Better than most Celestia dropped gear. Cons: Statistically inferior to the crafted set. Use as a temporary placeholder. Wintertusk Bundle Gear ("Yuletide Pack" / "Winter Wind Pack") Pros: Can be opened at lower levels, has good stats, and often comes with useful wands/pets. Cons: Crowns/Pack dependent. The crafted set is still generally better and free (just time-intensive). Key Drops & Farmable Gear Boss Drops: Bosses like Jotun and Gurtok drop gear that is comparable to the vendor gear. Tower of the Helephant (TOTH): A side dungeon in Wintertusk. Its gear (Level 60) is a slight upgrade and offers an alternative look, but is much harder to farm. Considered a "side-grade" or minor upgrade to crafted WT gear. Recommended Full Gear Setup for Level 56 This is the classic, powerful setup that will serve you perfectly: Hat: Wintertusk Crafted Hat Robe: Wintertusk Crafted Robe Boots: Wintertusk Crafted Boots Athame: Bears Claw of (Your School) (Crafted from Agnar Stonetooth) - Gives damage, health, and power pip. Amulet: Any that gives a useful card (e.g., Life Mastery Amulet for non-Life wizards, or school-specific ones from bosses like Yevgeny). Ring: Deer Knight's Ring (Crafted from Agnar) - Best-in-slot for damage and power pip at this level. Wand: Sky Iron Hasta (Dropped from Troubled Warriors in Mount Olympus) - The +10% Power Pip is unbeatable until much higher levels. Deck: Look for one with the highest pip count and a useful card. The crafted Wintertusk decks or the Tartarus Deck (Level 90) later are good goals. Pet: Aim for a pet with Damage and Resist talents. A "Triple-Double" (3 damage talents, 2 resist talents) is the ultimate goal. Important Notes & Tips Start Crafting Early: The recipes require reagents like Sunstone, Amber, Stone Blocks, and Scrap Iron. Farm these in Wintertusk and earlier worlds (especially Stone Blocks in Dragonspyre) before you hit Level 56. Questing Partner: Wintertusk is notoriously difficult. Having a partner or team makes crafting and questing much smoother. You Don't Need It for Celestia: While highly recommended, you can start Celestia with Waterworks or House of Scales gear. However, you will feel the difference in health and survivability. The Grind is Worth It: This gear set is so effective that many wizards don't replace it until Darkmoor at Level 100, making it one of the best long-term investments in the game. In summary: Focus on crafting your school's full Wintertusk hat, robe, boots, athame, and ring. Pair it with the Sky Iron Hasta and a good pet, and you'll be exceptionally well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
