Tartarus is one of the most challenging dungeons in Wizard101, available to players at Level 90+ (though it's recommended for Level 100+ due to difficulty). It is located in Aquila and is inspired by Greek mythology, featuring Hades as the final boss. Tartarus Dungeon Overview Location: Aquila (accessed via the World Door in Wizard City) Level Requirement: 90+ (recommended 100+) Bosses: 1. Cronus (Storm) Drops Hades gear (Level 90+). 2. Zeus Skyfather (Storm) Optional mini-boss. 3. Hades (Fire) Final boss, drops Hades gear and Tartarus spells (e.g., Handsome Fomori for Myth). Key Features & Drops Hades Gear: Slightly weaker than Darkmoor gear but still useful before Level 100. Tartarus Spells: Unique spells like Handsome Fomori (Myth) and Pigsie (Life, dropped by Cronus). Mount Drops: Hades drops the Tartarian Carpet mount. Strategy Tips Team Composition: Recommended 4 players (balance of hitters, healers, and supports). Cheats: - Cronus: Hits hard with Storm attacks; bring resist and shields. - Hades: Uses Fire DoTs and hits hard; Fire resist is key. Recommended Gear: Waterworks or crafted gear at minimum; Darkmoor gear preferred if available. Post-Tartarus Progression After Tartarus, players typically move to Darkmoor (Level 100) for the best gear before heading to Polaris and beyond. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
