wizard101 level 98 pets
Of course! Level 98 in Wizard101 is a major milestone, marking the end of Arc 2 (Celestia Zafaria Avalon Azteca Khrysalis). Your pet at this level should be a powerful partner, not just a cute sidekick. Heres a comprehensive guide to pets for a Level 98 wizard. Primary Pet Goals at Level 98 Your focus should shift from leveling utility to maximizing damage and survivability for the brutal fights in late Azteca and all of Khrysalis. Damage Boost: Stacking your school's damage is paramount. Critical & Block: The critical/block system is in full swing. Having high stats here is crucial. Useful Card: A pet that gives a useful 4-pip AOE (like the school's classic spell) or a potent blade is ideal. Top Tier Pet Recommendations The "Meta" Damage Pet (Best Overall) This is the most sought-after build for questing and general use. Pet Body: Kookaburra (Life), Frozen Armaments (Ice), Orthrus (Myth), Sun Serpent (Balance), Avenging Fossil (Death), Rain Core (Storm), Lord of Night (Fire). Why? These pets grant a school-specific Blade (+35%) and a school-specific 4-Pip AOE spell (e.g., Kookaburra gives Leaf Storm). This is an unbeatable combo. Ideal Talents (The "Quint Damage" Build): Pain-Giver (Universal +6% Damage) Thinkin' Cap / Giver Talents (School-Dealer +10% Damage) Mighty (+65 Strength - boosts all % based talents) School-Giver (School-Boon +6% Damage) School-Assailant (School-Striker +6% Critical) Result: +31% Damage and a good chunk of critical. The Critical & Damage Hybrid Great for wizards who want to critical frequently in Khrysalis. Pet Body: Same as above, or any pet with a good card you like. Ideal Talents: Pain-Giver School-Dealer Critical Hitter (Universal +7% Critical) School-Assailant (School-Striker +6% Critical) School-Giver or Mighty Result: High damage (+21-25%) and very high critical rating (+13%). The Defensive / Solo Survival Pet Excellent for soloing difficult content, especially for schools with lower health. Pet Body: Ghulture (grants a school-specific Blade +35% and a Life Steal AOE). Also consider pets with Stun Blocks or Healing cards. Ideal Talents: Pain-Giver School-Dealer Spell-Proof (+10% Universal Resist) <-- Essential Spell-Defying (+5% Universal Resist) Mighty or School-Giver Result: +21% Damage and +15% Universal Resist, making you significantly tankier. How to Get & Train Your Perfect Pet Hatchmaking Kiosk: This is your best friend. Search for the pet body you want with the talents you desire. Start with a Good "Seed" Pet: You'll need an adult pet with 2-3 of the talents you want to start hatching effectively. Hatch, Train to Adult, Repeat: Hatch with your target pet. Train the offspring to Adult. If it manifests a bad talent, hatch again using your new pet. This transfers the "pool" closer to your goal. Stats Matter: At Mega (and especially for Mighty), you need high Strength and Will stats. Aim for pets with max stats (255, 260, 250, etc.) from the Kiosk. Use a Pet Stat Calculator online to plan. Important Pet Bodies to Farm/Craft at Level 98 Wandering Eye: (Storm) Still relevant for Tempest and gives a good blade. Ninja Piglets: (Myth) For the powerful Ninja Pigs card. Polar Fox: (Ice) Gives Volcanic Shield, extremely useful in later worlds. Gloomy Eye: (Myth) The only pet that gives a 2-Pip AOE (Mythic Trap + Humongofrog), fantastic for fast questing. What to Avoid at This Level "May Cast" Talents: While fun, they are unreliable for strategic, difficult fights. Outdated Utility Talents: Talents like Pip O' Plenty, School Retriever, or Sharp-Shot are far less impactful than raw damage or resist. Pets with No Card or Weak Cards: The card a pet grants is a major part of its power. Quick Checklist for Your Level 98 Pet: [ ] Does it give my school's 4-Pip AOE or a strong Blade? [ ] Does it have at least 2 damage talents (Pain-Giver & School-Dealer)? [ ] Are its Strength and Will stats high (ideally 250+)? [ ] Am I aiming for Mighty or Spell-Proof at Mega? [ ] Have I used the Hatching Kiosk to find the best genetic pool? Final Tip: The journey to a "perfect" pet is a grind. Be patient, use the Kiosk strategically, and you'll have a companion that massively powers you up for the end of Arc 2 and into Arc 3 (Polaris). Good luck, Wizard

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
