wizard101 level 80 death gear
Of course! Level 80 is a major milestone in Wizard101, especially for Death wizards. It's the point where you get access to Waterworks gear (level 60) and the superior House of Scales gear (level 70), and you start preparing for the big shift to Darkmoor at level 100. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of the best Level 80 Death gear options, from best overall to budget-friendly. Best Overall Setup (The "Meta" Hybrid) This setup blends the best of two dungeons for maximum damage and solid resist. It's the standard most players aim for. Hat: House of Scales Death Helm (from the House of Scales in Zafaria) Why: Excellent balance of Damage, Critical, and Resist. Arguably the best hat until Darkmoor. Robe: House of Scales Death Raiments (from the House of Scales) Why: Superior to Waterworks robe. Gives a huge Death Damage boost, good critical, and useful accuracy. Boots: Waterworks Death Boots (from the Waterworks in Crab Alley) Why: The House of Scales boots are weaker. Waterworks boots provide the perfect balance of Power Pip chance, Accuracy, and a small resist boost to complete the set bonus. Wand: Sky Iron Hasta (drops from Lord Nightshade in Mount Olympus) OR a Level 80+ Death Damage Wand from the Bazaar/Crown Shop. Why: The Hasta's +10% universal damage is still unbeatable for free-to-play. If you have a pack wand with higher Death damage and useful stats (e.g., critical, pierce), you can use that. Athame: Bear's Claw of Death (from Waterworks) OR Duelist's Fatal Razor (from Mount Olympus) Why: Both offer great damage and power pip. Bear's Claw has slightly better stats. Amulet: Shango's Deathblade Amulet (from the Bazaar or Zafaria drops) Why: Gives an extra Deathblade item card, which is invaluable for stacking blades. Ring: Alpha and Omega Ring (from Waterworks) Why: Best-in-slot for damage and power pip at this level. Deck: Death Deck of the Chosen (from Waterworks) or any deck from the Bazaar with high pip count and a square jewel slot. Set Bonus: Using the full House of Scales Hat & Robe with the Waterworks Boots gives you the best of both worlds without committing to a full set from one dungeon. Alternative & Farmable Sets Full Waterworks Set (Level 60) Hat, Robe, Boots from Waterworks. Pros: Much easier to farm than House of Scales. Still very strong, fantastic for support/tanking with higher block and universal resist. Cons: Significantly less damage and critical than the hybrid setup above. You will hit less hard. Full House of Scales Set (Level 70) Hat, Robe, Boots from House of Scales. Pros: Maximizes your offensive potential (Damage & Critical). Cons: The boots are a weak point, offering less power pip and accuracy. The set bonus is good, but not as balanced as the hybrid. Crafted Wintertusk Gear (Level 56) Crafted from vendors in Sudrilund. Pros: Very good, easily accessible gear if you can't farm dungeons. Offers damage and critical earlier than Waterworks. Cons: Outclassed by both Waterworks and House of Scales at level 80. Pet Recommendations Your pet is a crucial part of your gear setup. Ideal talents for a Level 80 Death: Damage & Resist: Death-Dealer (Death Damage), Pain-Giver (Universal Damage), Spell-Proof (Universal Resist), Spell-Defying (Universal Resist). Utility: Death-Giver (Critical), Mighty (strengthens other % talents), Pip O' Plenty (Power Pip). A good starter combo: A pet with Death-Dealer and Spell-Proof is a huge help. Jewel Sockets At Level 80, you unlock Socket Wrenches and can use Square and Circle jewels. Square Sockets (Spell Gems): Socket Death Damage or Critical Rating jewels. Prioritize Damage. Circle Sockets (Health/Resist): Socket Health or Universal Resist jewels. What to Do Next? Farm Efficiently: Farm the House of Scales for the hat and robe. If it's too difficult, the Waterworks set is a perfectly viable fallback for the rest of Arc 2. Prepare for Avalon & Azteca: Your Level 80 gear will carry you through Avalon and into Azteca. Azteca is long and difficulthaving this strong gear is essential. The Next Goal: After this, you won't need major gear until Darkmoor at Level 100 (which drops the best gear for the next 30+ levels). Some players optionally farm the Tartarus dungeon at Level 90, but the upgrade is minor compared to the House of Scales/Waterworks hybrid. Summary for a Level 80 Death Wizard: Aim for the Hybrid Setup: House of Scales Hat & Robe + Waterworks Boots. Use the Sky Iron Hasta, Bear's Claw Athame, Alpha and Omega Ring, and Shango's Amulet. This combination will give you the perfect balance of high damage, good critical, and survivability to conquer the worlds ahead.

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
