Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

As of mid-2024, World of Warcraft (WoW) does not publicly release official player count numbers. However, estimates and trends can be pieced together from available data: Estimated Player Counts (2024) Active Subscribers (Retail + Classic): - Estimated 4.56 million monthly active players across all versions (Retail, Classic, Hardcore, Wrath Classic). - This includes China (where WoW returned under NetEase in 2023 after a hiatus). Breakdown: - Retail (Dragonflight): 23 million active players. - WoW Classic (Including Season of Discovery): 1.52 million. - China Region: 11.5 million (post-relaunch). Historical Context: - Peak subscribers were 12 million during Wrath of the Lich King (2010) and Mists of Pandaria (2012). - Shadowlands (2020) saw a temporary surge (56 million), but player retention dipped post-launch. Sources & Reliability Blizzard stopped reporting exact subscriber numbers in 2015. Estimates come from: - MMO-Population: 5.6 million (as of 2024). - Raider.io/Active Characters: 1.8 million characters logged in Dragonflight Season 4 (not unique players). - Twitch/Google Trends: Interest remains stable but below peak years. Upcoming Expansion Impact The War Within (2024) may boost numbers, especially with Microsofts acquisition of Activision-Blizzard and potential Xbox integrations. Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
