orc world of warcraft
In World of Warcraft (WoW), orcs are one of the most iconic playable races, deeply rooted in the game's lore. Heres an overview of orcs in WoW: Orc Traits & Playable Classes: Faction: Horde (primary faction; allied with trolls, tauren, undead, etc.). Racial Abilities: - Blood Fury (active): Increases attack power or spell power for a short time. - Hardiness (passive): Reduces duration of stun effects. - Command (passive): Bonus pet damage for Hunter classes. - Savage Strikes (passive): Increased critical strike chance with melee attacks. Classes Available: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Monk, Death Knight, Mage (since Cataclysm), Demon Hunter (Illidari, though rare for orcs). Lore & History: Origins: Orcs hail from Draenor, a world later torn apart and known as Outland (The Burning Crusade expansion). Corruption & Redemption: Originally a shamanistic society, they were corrupted by the Burning Legion via Mannoroths blood, leading to the Hordes invasion of Azeroth (Warcraft I & II). Later, under Thrall, they regained their honor and rejected demonic influence. Notable Orcs: - Thrall (former Warchief, shaman, and founder of modern Horde). - Grommash Hellscream (hero who freed orcs from corruption). - Garrosh Hellscream (controversial Warchief who led the Horde into war in Mists of Pandaria). - Orgrim Doomhammer (legendary leader, namesake of Orgrimmar). Culture & Society: Capital: Orgrimmar (located in Durotar, Kalimdor), a fortified city of spikes and red rock. Clans: Orcs are organized into clans (e.g., Warsong, Blackrock, Frostwolf), each with distinct identities. Religion/Spirituality: Many follow shamanism, communing with elemental spirits, while others embrace fel magic (warlocks) or warrior traditions. Appearance & Customization: Skin Colors: Green (default, due to fel corruption), brown (uncorrupted Maghar orcs from Warlords of Draenor), and grayish (for Blackrock orcs). Clan Tattoos & Piercings: Extensive customization options in Battle for Azeroth. Expansion Highlights: Warlords of Draenor (2014): Introduced Maghar orcs (uncorrupted, brown-skinned orcs from alternate Draenor) as an allied race. Battle for Azeroth (2018): Expanded customization options and deepened orc lore through conflicts like the Fourth War. Gameplay Role: Orcs are often portrayed as fierce warriors, shamans, or warlocks, excelling in melee DPS (Warrior, Rogue) or spellcasting (Shaman, Warlock). Their racials make them strong for PvP (Hardiness) and pet-based classes (Command). Would you like details on a specific aspect, like orc clans, lore events, or optimal class choices?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
