Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

An MMORPG Engine is a game engine specifically designed or optimized for creating Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs). These engines provide tools for handling large-scale multiplayer networking, persistent worlds, character progression, quest systems, and more. Popular MMORPG Engines & Frameworks Here are some of the best engines and frameworks for developing an MMORPG: Unity (Best for Indie & Small Teams) - Pros: - Strong C# scripting support. - Large asset store with MMORPG-ready plugins (e.g., Photon, Mirror, Fish-Net for networking). - Supports both 2D & 3D. - Cross-platform (PC, Mobile, Web). - Cons: - Requires third-party solutions for MMO-scale networking. - Performance may need optimization for massive player counts. - Example MMORPGs: - Albion Online (custom backend) - Temtem Unreal Engine (Best for AAA-Quality MMORPGs) - Pros: - High-end graphics & performance. - Built-in Replication System for multiplayer. - Blueprint visual scripting (good for prototyping). - World Partition for large open worlds. - Cons: - Steeper learning curve. - Requires C++ for advanced networking. - Example MMORPGs: - Blue Protocol - Ashes of Creation (custom backend) Godot (Best for Open-Source & Lightweight MMORPGs) - Pros: - Free & open-source (MIT license). - Supports C#, GDScript, and C++. - Good for small-scale MMOs with custom networking. - Cons: - Fewer built-in MMO tools (requires custom solutions). - Example MMORPGs: - Project: Gorgon (originally used Unity, but Godot is viable for indie MMOs). Amazon Lumberyard (Deprecated, but AWS GameLift is useful) - Pros: - Integrated with AWS for scalable server hosting. - Originally designed for MMOs (New World used a modified version). - Cons: - Lumberyard is no longer updated (replaced by Open 3D Engine). - Example MMORPG: - New World (custom fork) Custom Engines (For Large Studios) - Many AAA MMORPGs (e.g., World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, RuneScape) use custom engines optimized for their needs. - Pros: Full control over networking, performance, and features. - Cons: Expensive and time-consuming to develop. Key Features Needed in an MMORPG Engine When choosing an engine for an MMORPG, consider: Networking (Server-authoritative, latency compensation) Persistent World (Database integration for player data) Scalability (Handling thousands of players) Security (Anti-cheat, server validation) Content Tools (Quest editors, NPC AI, item systems) Best Networking Solutions for MMORPGs Since most engines dont natively support MMO-scale networking, you may need: Mirror (Unity) Photon Engine (Unity, Unreal) Nakama (Open-source game server) Agones (Kubernetes-based scaling for game servers) Which Engine Should You Choose? For Indie Devs: Unity or Godot (with custom networking). For High-End Graphics: Unreal Engine. For Full Control: Build a custom engine with C++/Rust + WebSockets. Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
