Opinions about The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) on Reddit are mixed, but generally positive, especially for fans of MMORPGs and the Elder Scrolls universe. Heres a summary of common sentiments from Reddit discussions: Positive Aspects (Why People Like It) Great Lore & World-Building Fans of Elder Scrolls appreciate the deep lore, voice-acted quests, and immersive zones. Solo-Friendly Unlike many MMOs, ESO is designed so solo players can enjoy most content, including story quests and exploration. No Pay-to-Win The cash shop is mostly cosmetic, and subscription (ESO+) is optional (though helpful for crafting). Flexible Combat & Builds Hybrid class systems allow for creative builds, though some criticize the combat as "floaty." Frequent Updates Expansions (like High Isle, Necrom) and DLCs add new zones, stories, and mechanics regularly. Friendly Community Many Redditors praise the helpful and non-toxic player base. Criticisms (Common Complaints) Combat Feels "Weightless" Some players dislike the animation and impact of attacks compared to Skyrim. Performance Issues Server lag, especially in PvP (Cyrodiil), is a frequent complaint. Grind for Endgame While leveling is easy, min-maxing for veteran content requires farming gear and CP (Champion Points). Monetization Concerns While not P2W, the game has many DLCs, expansions, and a cash shop, which some find overwhelming. Repetitive Quest Design Some side quests feel formulaic ("go here, kill/fetch, return"). Reddit's Verdict? For TES Fans: Worth trying, especially if you love exploring Tamriel and solo storytelling. For Hardcore MMO Players: Endgame is decent but not as deep as WoW or FFXIV. For Casual Players: One of the best "chill" MMOs with lots of freedom. Subreddits to Check: r/elderscrollsonline Main community (mixed but generally positive). r/MMORPG Broader discussions (more critical takes). Final Thought: If you enjoy Elder Scrolls lore and a relaxed MMO experience, ESO is a great choice. Try the base game (often on sale) before committing to DLCs. Would you like recommendations on starting classes or expansions?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
