Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Both EVE Online and Elite Dangerous are popular space-themed games, but they offer very different experiences. Heres a detailed comparison: Gameplay & Focus EVE Online - MMORPG with a heavy focus on player-driven economy, politics, and warfare. - Persistent single-shard universe where players shape the world through corporations (guilds), alliances, and wars. - Deep industry, trading, espionage, and large-scale PvP battles (often with thousands of players). - Slower-paced, strategic gameplay with an emphasis on long-term planning. - Skill-based progression (real-time training, even when offline). Elite Dangerous - Space flight simulator with a mix of solo and multiplayer elements. - First-person ship piloting with realistic physics (Newtonian flight model). - Open-world sandbox with exploration, trading, mining, bounty hunting, and faction conflicts. - More action-oriented, with dogfighting, planetary landings, and on-foot gameplay (via Odyssey expansion). - Solo, private group, or open multiplayer modes. Universe & Scale EVE Online - Handcrafted universe with 7,800 star systems, mostly controlled by player alliances. - No manual flight controlships are commanded via point-and-click. - Persistent consequences (ships destroyed are lost permanently). Elite Dangerous - Procedurally generated Milky Way galaxy with 400 billion star systems, many unexplored. - Seamless transitions between space and planetary surfaces (with Horizons and Odyssey). - Ships can be destroyed but are mostly recoverable (insurance system). Combat & PvP EVE Online - Tactical, fleet-based combat with large-scale battles (sometimes with time dilation to handle lag). - High stakeslosing a ship means losing it forever (permadeath for ships/modules). - Espionage, scams, and subterfuge are common in player interactions. Elite Dangerous - Real-time, skill-based dogfighting (similar to Star Wars: Squadrons or X-Wing). - PvP is optional (can play in Solo or Private Group modes). - Less punishinginsurance covers most ship losses. Economy & Progression EVE Online - Entirely player-driven economy (almost everything is built by players). - Skill training happens in real-time (even when offline). - Wealth and power are heavily influenced by player organizations. Elite Dangerous - Mixed economy (NPCs and players influence markets). - Progression is based on credits, reputation, and engineering upgrades. - More solo-friendly, but less player-driven than EVE. Community & Social Aspects EVE Online - Highly socialsuccess depends on joining corporations/alliances. - Infamous for its cutthroat politics, espionage, and betrayal. - Requires significant time investment to thrive. Elite Dangerous - Can be played solo or with friends (less reliance on large groups). - More casual-friendly, but still has player factions (e.g., Powerplay). - Exploration and trading are more accessible. Which One Should You Play? Choose EVE Online if you want: - A deep, player-driven MMO with politics, industry, and massive wars. - Long-term strategy over fast-paced action. - A game where your actions have lasting consequences. Choose Elite Dangerous if you want: - A space flight simulator with hands-on piloting. - Exploration, trading, and combat in a vast galaxy. - A more relaxed or solo-friendly experience. Both games are great but cater to very different audiences. If you enjoy MMOs and strategy, EVE is unmatched. If you prefer immersive spaceflight and exploration, Elite Dangerous is the better choice. Would you like recommendations based on your preferred playstyle?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
