eve online carriers
In EVE Online, carriers are a class of Capital Ships that serve as mobile bases for deploying and supporting fighter squadrons. They are primarily used for logistics, force projection, and combat support, but can also be effective in direct combat when properly fit and supported. Key Features of Carriers: Fighter Deployment Carriers can launch fighter bombers (for anti-capital/supercapital damage) and support fighters (for logistics, electronic warfare, or anti-subcapital damage). Capital Remote Reps & Buffs They can fit capital remote shield/armor repairers and capital energy transfers to support fleets. Jump Drive Like all capitals, carriers have a jump drive for rapid movement across regions (with a cynosural field requirement). High EHP & Tank Carriers have strong shields, armor, and structure, making them durable in prolonged engagements. Limited Docking Carriers cannot dock in most stations (except Keepstars and some faction fortizars). Carrier Classes in EVE Online There are four carrier hulls, each aligned with one of the four main empires: Carrier Empire Bonuses Primary Role Thanatos Gallente +5% armor HP per level, +10% fighter damage per level Armor tank, DPS Nidhoggur Minmatar +5% shield HP per level, +10% fighter velocity per level Shield tank, mobility Chimera Caldari +5% shield HP per level, +10% fighter tracking per level Shield tank, anti-subcap Archon Amarr +5% armor HP per level, +10% fighter capacitor per level Armor tank, logistics Common Uses for Carriers Ratting (PvE) Carriers are excellent for solo/small-group PvE in nullsec (e.g., Havens, Sanctums). Fleet Support (PvP) Used in capital escalations, structure bashes, and large-scale fights. Hot Drops Can rapidly deploy fighters to support subcapital fleets. Logistics Remote repairs make them useful for capital fleet sustainment. Bait & Tanking Often used as bait ships due to their high EHP. Fighter Mechanics Fighter Bombers Deal massive damage to capitals/supers but are slow. Support Fighters Provide EWAR (e.g., ECM, neuts) or logistics (remote reps). Light Fighters Fast, anti-frigate/destroyer. Heavy Fighters Balanced anti-cruiser/battlecruiser. Weaknesses & Counters Vulnerable to Dreads Dreadnoughts with HAW (High-Angle Weapons) or Capital Guns can melt carriers. Fighter Management Losing fighters means DPS loss (fighters cost ISK to replace). Slow Warp Speed Carriers are slow and rely on jump drives or triage (if fitted). Neuts & Scrams Energy neutralizers and warp scramblers can disable them. Skill Requirements To fly a carrier, you need: Capital Ships IV/V Jump Drive Operation IV Fighter skills (Support Fighters, Fighter Bombers, etc.) Tank skills (Shield/Armor Compensation, Capital Reps) Modern Meta (2024) Carriers are less dominant than in past years due to HAW Dreadnoughts and supercarrier power creep. Still useful for small-gang PvP, logistics, and niche PvE. FAX (Force Auxiliaries) have largely replaced carriers for logistics roles. Would you like specific fits, tactics, or comparisons with other capitals?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
