Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a great category to look for deals, but it's also a minefield of scams and overpriced hardware. Here is a comprehensive guide to buying a gaming laptop on eBay, covering what to look for, what to avoid, and how to spot a good deal. The Golden Rules of eBay Laptop Buying Don't buy a laptop without a dedicated GPU. Integrated graphics (Intel UHD, Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Graphics) are not for gaming, period. Check the Seller's Reputation. Filter for sellers with 99%+ positive feedback and a significant number of sales (hundreds or thousands). Look for "Returns Accepted". This is your safety net. "No Returns" is a huge red flag for electronics. Read the Description Carefully. Look for phrases like "untested," "for parts/not working," "cosmetic damage," or "missing key." These are code for "broken." Focus on the GPU, then the CPU, then RAM/Storage. The graphics card is the most important component for gaming. What Makes eBay Special for Gaming Laptops? Price: You can often get a laptop that was 1500 new for 700-900 after 2 years. "Open Box" & "Used - Like New": These are untouched returns or barely-used units. Usually the best value. Last Gen Flagships: A high-end RTX 3070 Ti laptop from 2022 will often beat a mid-range RTX 4060 laptop from 2024 in raw performance and build quality. Business Leasing Returns (e.g., Dell Latitude, HP EliteBook): Avoid these for gaming. They often have weak GPUs (like a Quadro or integrated graphics) even if they have a powerful CPU. Step 1: The "Must-Have" Specs (2024-2025 Minimum) Component Minimum Recommended (Good) Sweet Spot (Excellent Value) : : : : GPU RTX 2060, RTX 3050 RTX 3060, RTX 4060 RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 4070 CPU Ryzen 5 5600H, Intel i5-11400H Ryzen 7 5800H, Intel i7-12700H Ryzen 9 6900HX, Intel i9-13900H RAM 16GB DDR4 (or 8GB + upgrade) 16GB DDR5 32GB DDR5 Storage 512GB NVMe SSD 1TB NVMe SSD 1TB+ NVMe SSD Screen 1080p, 144Hz 1080p, 240Hz or 1440p, 165Hz 1440p, 240Hz (or 1080p 300Hz+) Battery Any 60Wh+ 80Wh+ Avoid: GTX 1650, GTX 1660 Ti (old, not worth it). RTX 4050 (underwhelming). Step 2: Model-Specific Advice (What to Hunt For) Best Value "Sleeper": Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2021-2022) - Why: Excellent build quality, great screen (2560x1600, 165Hz), full-power GPUs, good cooling. A used one with an RTX 3070 for 800-1000 is a steal. Excellent All-Rounder: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14/G15 - Why: Portable, powerful, great screen options. Look for the G15 with an RTX 3070 or the G14 with an RTX 3060/4060. Budget Performance Beast: Dell G15 (Ryzen Edition) - Why: Often cheaper used than the Legion, but similar performance. Look for an RTX 3060 or 4060 model. The CPU can run hot, so check for "thermal paste applied" in the description. Premium Build: Razer Blade 15 (Base/Advanced) - Why: Gorgeous aluminum chassis, powerful hardware. Major Caveat: Batteries swell a lot on older models. Check the trackpad for bulging. Also very expensive to repair. The "Beast" (Desktop Replacement): MSI GE66/GE76 Raider or ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 - Why: Top-tier cooling, full-power GPUs (often 150W+), high-refresh screens. Heavy, not portable. Step 3: The eBay Search Strategy (How to Find Deals) Use Specific Filters: - Condition: Used, Open Box, Seller Refurbished. - Price: Set a max price (e.g., 1,200). - Category: Laptops & Netbooks > Gaming Laptops. - Item Location: US Only (if in US) to avoid international shipping and import taxes. Search by GPU, not "Gaming Laptop": - Search: "RTX 3060 laptop" or "RTX 3070 Ti laptop" - You'll find better deals because sellers who don't know what they have might list it under a lower price. Watch Bidding Wars. - Avoid active high-bid auctions. Use "Buy It Now" or "Best Offer." - Make a Best Offer. A standard tactic is 10-20% below asking price. Step 4: The Dangerous Red Flags (Run Away!) The Price is Too Good: A 3,000 laptop for 400? It's either a scam (fake listing), broken, or a stolen item. No Real Photos: Stock photos from the manufacturer. Request a photo with their username on a piece of paper next to the laptop. "I'm selling for a friend" / "Contact me at this email": This bypasses eBay protections. Never do this. Dell / HP / Lenovo "Business" Laptop (Latitude, EliteBook, ThinkPad P series): Unless the listing explicitly states it has a high-end gaming GPU (like an RTX 3080), it has a weak, non-gaming GPU. You will be disappointed. "Untested" or "For Parts/Not Working": Assume it's completely broken. You are gambling. Step 5: The "Must-Ask" Questions (If Not in Description) Before you buy or bid, send the seller a message asking: "Does the laptop have any physical damage (cracks, dents, missing keys, hinge issues)?" "Can you confirm the battery health (e.g., wear level in BIOS or software)? Does it hold a charge?" "Are all the ports (USB, HDMI, power) working?" "Does the screen have any dead pixels, backlight bleed, or scratches?" "Was this unit used for crypto mining or as a desktop replacement (always plugged in)?" The Verdict: Should You Buy? Yes, if: You are patient. You are comfortable with a laptop that might have a few cosmetic marks. You can do minor repairs (replacing a fan, adding RAM) or don't mind paying a repair shop. You want a powerful machine for 50-60% of its original price. No, if: You need a warranty (buy new or from a certified refurbisher). You are risk-averse. You don't know how to check battery health or run a basic stress test. Final Pro-Tip: Once you win the laptop, immediately run a GPU stress test (like FurMark) and a CPU stress test (like Cinebench). If it crashes within 10 minutes, you have a cooling or power issue and should open a return case with eBay immediately. Happy hunting

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
