Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Its impossible to pick a single best custom gaming laptop, because the right choice depends entirely on your budget, your tolerance for weight/size, and whether you want to build it yourself (Clevo/Tongfang chassis) or customize a big-brand laptop (Lenovo, ASUS, Alienware). Here is the breakdown of how to approach this, from fully custom (barebone) to highly configurable (brand). The "True Custom" Route (Clevo / Tongfang / XMG) These are the closest you get to building a desktop in a laptop. You buy the chassis, motherboard, and screen, then install your own CPU, RAM, SSDs, and Wi-Fi card. Best for: Maximum performance per dollar. Wanting to upgrade RAM/Storage years later. Avoiding bloatware. Top Recommendations: Eluktronics (USA) / XMG (EU) / PC Specialist (UK) - Model: Eluktronics MAX-17 / XMG NEO 17 - Why: Top-tier cooling (liquid metal), mechanical keyboard option, very high power limits (150W+ GPUs). - Customization: Choose CPU (Intel i9 or AMD Ryzen 9), GPU (RTX 4090), screen (240Hz or 4K mini-LED). - Price: 2,500 4,000+ Clevo X170 / X370 (via Sager, Origin PC, HIDevolution) - Why: The rawest power. Desktop-grade CPU sockets (LGA) on some older models. Full upgradeability. - Note: They are thick, heavy, and loud. This is not a portable machine. - Price: 3,000+ The Catch: Customer support is via the reseller (Eluktronics/Sager), not the manufacturer. Build quality is plastic-y on budget models. The "High-End Configurable" Route (Big Brands) These let you customize specs (RAM, SSD, screen, warranty) but you cannot swap the motherboard or CPU later. Best for: Portability + Power. Better build quality, support, software (RGB, fan control). You want it now, not in 6 weeks. Brand Line Why Price (RTX 4080+) : : : : Lenovo Legion Pro 7i / 9i Best bang-for-buck. Great cooling stock. No soldered RAM. No bloatware. 2,200+ ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16/18 Mini-LED screen (1100 nits). Best screen on the market. High turbo clocks. 2,800+ Razer Blade 16 Thinnest premium chassis. CNC aluminum. Good for creators and gamers. 3,200+ MSI Titan GT77 HX The "Desktop Replacement." 4 RAM slots, 4 SSD slots. Full mechanical keyboard. 4,000+ Customization Tip: Avoid "budget" configurations of these brands (e.g., RTX 4060 + low TGP). The value is in the RTX 4080/4090 + Mini-LED tiers. The Budget Custom Builder (e.g., Aftershock, PCSpecialist) If youre in the UK, Australia, or Southeast Asia, these firms buy barebones (usually Clevo/Tongfang) and build to order. Cost: 1,000 2,500 (RTX 4060/4070). Best for: Getting a Ryzen CPU + RTX 4070 in a thin chassis without the "gamer tax" of ASUS/MSI. Example: Aftershock Vapor 15 (i9 + RTX 4070 + 240Hz QHD). The 3 Rules for Custom Specing Dont overpay for the screen pre-installed. Bad: Default "300nit 144Hz" (dim, poor colors). Good: Upgrade to QHD (2560x1600) @ 240Hz or 4K Mini-LED. This is the single best upgrade for immersion. RAM voltage matters. A custom Clevo with standard DDR5 may run slower than a brand (Lenovo) with XMP enabled. Check if the builder offers low-latency DDR-6000 CL30. Choose the GPU TDP carefully. Full Power (175W): Found in Lenovo Legion Pro 7, MSI Titan, Clevo X170. Low Power (100-120W): Found in thin Razers or ASUS Zephyrus. Avoid these for gaming. A 4080 at 120W is slower than a 4090 at 175W. Final Verdict: Which one should you buy? "I want to build it like a PC": Eluktronics MAX-17 (USA) or XMG NEO 16 (EU). Buy the screen upgrade. "I want a premium, reliable machine": Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 (64GB RAM + 2TB SSD). Skip the "custom" site, buy direct from Lenovo. "I want the absolute best screen": ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 with the Mini-LED display. "I have a budget of 1,500": Lenovo LOQ 16 or a Clevo PE70 from a local builder. Dont expect 4K or a 4090. Avoid: Alienware (overpriced for the build quality) and MSI Stealth series (overheating). Need a specific recommendation? Tell me: Your budget (e.g., 2,000 USD). Primary game (e.g., Cyberpunk, Fortnite, Sims). Weight limit (e.g., under 5 lbs).

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
