A "502 Bad Gateway" error in the Epic Games Launcher is a common network-related issue. It means the launcher's servers are reachable, but there's a communication problem between servers (often on Epic's side or with your ISP). Heres a step-by-step guide to fix it, starting with the quickest solutions. Immediate & Quick Fixes (Try These First) Check Epic Games Server Status: Go to the official Epic Games Status Page. Look for any yellow or red indicators for the Launcher, Store, or Friends & Chat services. If there's an outage, you must wait for Epic to fix it. Restart the Epic Games Launcher: Fully close the launcher via the system tray (right-click the icon and select Exit). Wait a few seconds and restart it. Restart Your Router/Modem: This clears your local network cache and can resolve routing issues. Unplug your router and modem for 30-60 seconds, then plug them back in and wait for a full restart. Run the Launcher as Administrator: Right-click the Epic Games Launcher shortcut. Select Run as administrator. This can help with permission issues. If the Problem Persists: Advanced Troubleshooting Flush DNS & Reset Network This fixes corrupted local network data that might cause routing errors. Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open Command Prompt as admin. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each: Restart your computer after running these commands. Disable VPN/Proxy VPNs and proxies can interfere with the launcher's connection. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue. Configure/Disable Firewall & Antivirus Temporarily Your security software might be blocking the launcher. Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus (Windows Defender, Norton, McAfee, etc.) and try launching Epic. If it works, add the Epic Games Launcher as an exception to your security software. Edit the Hosts File (Advanced) Sometimes, incorrect entries here can cause routing problems. Navigate to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc Open the hosts file with Notepad (as administrator). Look for any lines containing epicgames.com or unrealengine.com. If you find any, add a # at the beginning of the line to comment them out. Save the file and restart the launcher. Reinstall the Epic Games Launcher A clean install can fix corrupted files. Uninstall the Epic Games Launcher from Settings > Apps. Delete the leftover Epic Games folders in: C:ProgramDataEpic (Note: ProgramData is a hidden folder) C:Users[YourUsername]AppDataLocalEpicGamesLauncher C:Users[YourUsername]AppDataRoamingEpic Download the latest installer from the Epic Games website and reinstall. If You're on a Restricted Network (School/Work/Dorm) A 502 Bad Gateway can indicate the network is actively blocking game services. You may need to use a VPN (if allowed) or contact the network administrator. Summary: Most Likely Fixes Start with the server status check and router restart. If that doesn't work, the DNS flush & network reset is the most effective solution for most users. If none of these work, the issue is likely on Epic's side or with your Internet Service Provider. Wait a few hours and try again. You can also check the Epic Games Support Twitter for real-time updates on widespread issues.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
