A "502 Bad Gateway" error when trying to access the Epic Games Store or Launcher is a common issue, usually indicating a problem with the connection between your computer and Epic's servers. It's almost always on the client-side or with your local network. Heres a step-by-step guide to fix it, starting with the quickest and most common solutions. Step 1: Quick Fixes (Do These First) These solve the majority of cases. Refresh and Retry: Simply press F5 (or Ctrl+F5 for a hard refresh) in your browser. For the Epic Games Launcher, click the refresh icon or restart it. Check Epic Games Server Status: Before you spend time troubleshooting your system, make sure the problem isn't on Epic's end. Go to the official Epic Games Status Page. Look for any yellow or red indicators for the "Epic Games Store" or "Launcher" services. If there's an outage, you'll have to wait. Restart Your Router/Modem: This is the single most effective fix for many network-related errors. Unplug your router and modem from power. Wait at least 60 seconds (this is crucial to clear the cache). Plug them back in and wait for a full restart. Try Epic Games again. Step 2: Fixes for the Epic Games Launcher If the problem is with the desktop app, try these: Restart the Epic Games Launcher: Fully close it via the system tray (right-click the icon and select "Exit"). Reopen it. Run the Launcher as Administrator: Right-click the Epic Games Launcher shortcut. Select "Run as administrator." Clear the Launcher's Web Cache: Close the Epic Games Launcher completely. Navigate to this folder on your PC: C:Users[YOURUSERNAME]AppDataLocalEpicGamesLauncherSavedwebcache (Replace [YOURUSERNAME] with your Windows username). Delete the entire webcache folder (or its contents). Restart the launcher. It will create a new cache. Flush Your DNS Cache: Open the Command Prompt as Administrator (search for "cmd," right-click, "Run as administrator"). Type the following command and press Enter: You should see a "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache" message. Disable VPN/Proxy: If you're using a VPN or proxy service, disable it temporarily. Epic's servers sometimes block traffic from known VPN IP addresses. Step 3: Advanced Network & System Fixes If the issue persists, dig deeper. Change Your DNS Server: Your ISP's default DNS might be having issues. Switch to a public DNS like Google's or Cloudflare's. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. Right-click your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and select Properties. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click Properties. Choose "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter: Preferred: 8.8.8.8 Alternate: 8.8.4.4 (Google) Or use: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare) Click OK and restart your PC. Temporarily Disable Firewall & Antivirus: Security software can sometimes interfere. Only do this temporarily for testing. Disable your Windows Defender Firewall and any third-party antivirus (like Norton, McAfee, Avast). Try accessing Epic Games. If it works, you need to add an exception for the Epic Games Launcher in your security software. Update/Repair the Epic Games Launcher: Open the Windows "Apps & Features" settings. Find "Epic Games Launcher," click it, and select "Modify". Follow the prompts to attempt a repair. Step 4: Last Resort Contact Your ISP: In rare cases, your Internet Service Provider might be routing traffic through a problematic gateway. You can mention the persistent "502 Bad Gateway" error with Epic Games. Wait It Out: If the status page showed issues, or if there's a major game launch/update (like a new Fortnite season), the servers are likely overloaded. Patience is the only fix. Summary Checklist (Fastest to Slowest): [ ] Refresh the page/launcher. [ ] Check Epic's Server Status page. [ ] Restart your router/modem (wait 60 seconds!). [ ] Restart the Epic Games Launcher. [ ] Clear the launcher's web cache. [ ] Flush your DNS (ipconfig /flushdns). [ ] Disable VPN/Proxy. [ ] Change your DNS server to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). [ ] Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus. [ ] Repair the Epic Games Launcher installation. Following these steps in order will almost certainly resolve the "502 Bad Gateway" error. Start with Step 1 the router restart is very often the cure.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
