Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

When comparing 1080p (Full HD) vs. 1440p (QHD) for World of Warcraft (WoW), the choice depends on your priorities: performance, visual fidelity, and hardware capabilities. Heres a breakdown: Visual Quality 1080p (1920x1080): - Good clarity, but textures and details (e.g., spell effects, environments) appear softer. - UI elements are larger, which can be helpful for readability but may feel less immersive. 1440p (2560x1440): - Sharper image with 77% more pixels than 1080p, making textures, shadows, and distant objects clearer. - Better for spotting details in raids or open-world exploration. - UI scales smaller, giving more screen space for gameplay. Performance (FPS) 1080p: - Less demanding; higher FPS on mid-range GPUs (e.g., GTX 1660, RTX 3050). - Ideal for competitive play (e.g., Mythic+, PvP) where high FPS (>100) matters. 1440p: - Requires 3050% more GPU power. A RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT or better is recommended for 60+ FPS at high settings. - Modern GPUs handle it well, but FPS drops in crowded areas (e.g., Valdrakken, raids). Hardware Considerations GPU: - 1080p: Works well with budget to mid-range cards (e.g., GTX 1660, RX 6600). - 1440p: Needs at least an RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT for smooth gameplay. CPU: WoW is CPU-heavy (especially in cities/raids). A strong CPU (e.g., Ryzen 5 5600X, i5-12400F) helps more at 1440p. Monitor: 1440p requires a 27"32" monitor for optimal pixel density. 1080p looks best on 24" or smaller. Competitive vs. Immersive Play 1080p: Better for high-FPS competitive play (Arena, Mythic+). 1440p: Superior for immersion, questing, and visual enjoyment. Future-Proofing 1440p is becoming the sweet spot for modern gaming. If your GPU can handle it, the upgrade is worth it for WoWs art style. Verdict Choose 1080p if: You prioritize FPS > visuals, have a budget GPU, or play competitively. Choose 1440p if: You have a mid/high-end GPU, want sharper visuals, and play for immersion. Pro Tip: Use DLSS/FSR (if supported) to boost FPS at 1440p without major quality loss. Would you like recommendations for specific settings or GPUs?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
