wizard101 the quake charmer
Excellent choice! The Quake Charmer is a fantastic and versatile pet in Wizard101, especially for Life wizards (though other schools can benefit too). It's known for providing the powerful Earthquake spell as a card, which is a Balance school AoE (Area of Effect) hit. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of the Quake Charmer pet: Core Identity: The Quake Charmer Pet Pet Body: Armored Dragon (a dragon with spiky, rocky armor) Primary Appeal: Grants the Earthquake spell (4 pips, 430-490 Balance damage to all enemies, removes one positive charm from each enemy). School: It is officially a Life School pet. This means its innate talents lean towards Life spells (like Lifeblade, Life traps) and it gives a Life School card (Sprite) at Baby stage. Obtaining It: You can hatch for it at the Pet Pavilion. You'll need to find someone who has one to hatch with, or you might find it in the Pet Kiosk by searching for "Quake Charmer" or "Armored Dragon." Why is the Quake Charmer So Popular? AoE Solution for Life Wizards: Life wizards lack a learnable 4-pip AoE spell. The Forest Lord is 7 pips. Earthquake provides a relatively low-pip, reliable AoE that helps Life wizards quest and farm much more efficiently. Utility: The secondary effect of Earthquake (removing one positive charm from each enemy) is excellent against bosses or mobs that cast blades on themselves. Good Stats: The Armored Dragon body type has a good stat pool, capable of reaching high numbers for Strength, Intellect, and Agility, making it easier to manifest desired talents. Versatility: While a Life pet, the Earthquake card it gives is useful for any school that wants a Balance-based AoE with a charm-removal utility. It's a common choice for "support" or utility pets across all schools. Top Talent Recommendations You'll want to build your Quake Charmer to enhance your wizard's capabilities. Here are the most sought-after talent builds: For Life Wizards (The Classic Build): This build maximizes your damage output. Pain-Giver: Universal +6% damage. Life-Giver: Life School +6% damage. Life-Boon/Proof: Life-Boon gives an extra +4% Life damage. Spell-Proof gives +10% universal resist (very defensive). Mighty (or Thinkin' Cap): Mighty increases the strength of your other percent-based talents. Thinkin' Cap provides a small intellect boost and a card. Fairy Friend/Medic: Provides a useful incoming heal. For a "Triple-Double" Universal Pet (Great for Any School): A balanced offensive/defensive build. Spell-Proof: +10% Universal Resist. Spell-Defying: +5% Universal Resist. Pain-Giver: +6% Universal Damage. Thinkin' Cap/Mighty: Boosts other stats. Fairy Friend/Unicorn: Provides a heal. For a Max Support/Utility Pet: Blade of Life/Fuel: Grants a Life Blade card. Life-Boon/Giver: Increases Life damage. Pip O' Plenty: Chance for a starting power pip. Medic/Fairy Friend: Incoming heal. Spell-Proof: For survivability. How to Get Your Perfect Quake Charmer Find a Base Pet: Get your first Quake Charmer via hatching at the kiosk or with a friend. Train to Adult: See its first two talents. If they aren't what you want (e.g., "Life-Shot" or a "may-cast" you don't like), hatch it again with a pet that has your desired talents. The Hatching Cycle: Keep hatching your latest offspring with a good talent pool parent, training to Ancient/Epic to reveal more talents, and re-hatching until you get a pet with the exact five talents you want, all manifesting in the right order. Max Stats: Use snacks that boost the key attributes (Strength, Will, Power) to ensure your percent-based talents (Proof, Mighty, Giver) reach their maximum values. Important Considerations The Earthquake Card is NOT Enchanted: The card you get from the pet cannot be enhanced with Sun School enchantment cards (like Monstrous or Colossal). Its damage is fixed. It's Still a Balance Spell: It will be affected by Balance damage and Universal damage on your gear, not Life damage. A Life wizard will need some Balance/Universal gear to boost its damage significantly. Alternatives Exist: Other pets also grant Earthquake (like the Coldfire Dragon), but the Quake Charmer's Life school and stat potential make it the favorite. Final Verdict The Quake Charmer is a top-tier pet for Life wizards and a very solid utility pet for others. It solves Life's biggest PvE problem (AoE) and brings useful utility to any team. The journey to a "perfect" one requires patience and pet training, but the result is a companion that will serve you for the entire game. Good luck with your hatches

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
