wizard101 snowball barrage
Excellent choice! Snowball Barrage is a classic and powerful Ice spell in Wizard101. Here's a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about it. The Basics School: Ice Pips: 6 Accuracy: 80% Effect: Deals 490 Ice Damage to a single target. Card Type: Damage Spell (No inherent secondary effect like Stun or Freeze). How to Get It Snowball Barrage is not a trained spell from your Ice professor. You must acquire it through other means: Pet Talent (Most Common Method): This is the primary way Ice wizards get this spell. It appears as a "Card-Giving" talent on certain Ice pets. Once your pet learns the talent, the spell card will appear in your deck while the pet is equipped. Popular Pet Choices: Frosty Eye, Freezing Rain Core, Icy Ghulture, and many others. You'll need to hatch and train pets to get the specific talent that grants the card. Spellemental Path (Alternative Method): Snowball Barrage has a Spellemental upgrade path. You can collect Ice Barrage Spellements from various sources like the Spellemental Pack, certain bosses, or events. By spending Spellements at your spellbook, you can permanently unlock and then upgrade Snowball Barrage, making it a trained spell that doesn't require a pet. Upgrades via Spellements (Archmastery Era) If you unlock it via Spellements, you can power it up through two tiers: Rank 1 (Base): 490 damage (6 pips). Rank 2: 545 damage. Also, the spell gains +5% Accuracy (bringing it to 85%) if you have an Ice Mastery Amulet equipped. Rank 3: 600 damage. The Accuracy bonus with an Ice Mastery Amulet increases to +10% (90% total). Strategy & Use: Why It's Great Efficient Damage: For 6 pips, 490 damage is very solid. It's your go-to mid-level hitting spell before you get the higher-level 7-pip spells like Woolly Mammoth or Angry Snowpigs. Reliability: As a single-target attack, it's perfect for finishing off bosses or key enemies. Pet-Centric Play: For a long time, having a pet with Snowball Barrage was a rite of passage for Ice wizards. It significantly boosts your offensive capability in the mid-game (around Mooshu to Dragonspyre). Fills a Gap: Ice wizards learn Frost Giant (7 pips for 690) at level 48. Snowball Barrage provides a strong 6-pip option before and even after that. Compared to Other Ice Hits vs. Frost Giant (Lvl 48): Frost Giant does more damage (690) for 7 pips, but Snowball Barrage is more pip-efficient if you have exactly 6 pips. vs. Reindeer Knight (Crafted/Aquila): Reindeer Knight is an AoE (hits all) that also leaves an Ice DoT (Damage over Time). It's more versatile but costs 7 pips. They serve different purposes. vs. Lord of Winter (Shadow Spell): Not comparable, as Lord of Winter is a late-game, high-cost shadow hit. Final Verdict Snowball Barrage is an essential workhorse spell for any serious Ice wizard. Its combination of good damage, reasonable pip cost, and (historically) pet-based acquisition makes it a core part of the Ice identity. Your Goal as an Ice Wizard: Aim to get a pet that grants the Snowball Barrage card or start collecting Ice Barrage Spellements to unlock it permanently. It will be a staple in your deck for dozens of levels.

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
