Of course! In Wizard101, Poison is a damage-over-time (DoT) spell effect primarily associated with the Death school, though it appears in other schools as well. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about Poison in Wizard101: Core Mechanics Damage Over Time (DoT): Unlike a direct hit, a Poison spell deals its total damage in smaller increments over several rounds (usually 3 rounds). How it Works: When you cast a Poison spell (e.g., Poison that deals 345 damage over 3 rounds), it applies a "ward" to the enemy. At the end of each of their next turns, they will take a portion of that damage (e.g., 115 per round). Benefit: It bypasses "Damage this Round" shields (like Tower Shield) because the damage occurs on the enemy's turn, not during your casting round. Drawback: The damage is slower, giving enemies more time to heal or defeat you. Primary School: Death Death is the master of Poison. For Death wizards, Poison spells are a core part of their strategy, serving two key purposes: Solo Survival: Death wizards heal for a percentage of the damage they deal. Poison DoTs provide a steady, reliable source of healing over multiple turns. Utility & Setup: They are efficient for removing enemy shields and setting up for a larger finishing blow. Iconic Death Poison Spells: Poison (Rank 1): The basic 3-round DoT. Infection: A non-damaging spell that applies a Healing Debuff, reducing the target's incoming heals by 50%. This is a crucial support spell in team play. Virulent Plague: An AoE version of Infection. Scarecrow (Rank 7 AoE): Has a built-in Poison effect as part of its damage. Poison in Other Schools Myth: Has a few Poison-based spells like Basilisk and Medusa (which stuns and then Poisons). Fire: While Fire specializes in Fire DoT (Burning), a few early-game spells like Link and Fire Elf have a Poison component, but they are considered "Fire Damage" DoTs, not the Death-type Poison. Balance: Gets Locust Swarm, a Balance-type DoT that functions identically to Poison but is considered "Balance Damage." Item Card Poisons: Many pets, gear, and treasures grant Poison spells from various schools. Key Interactions & Strategies Shield Bypassing: As mentioned, Poison is excellent against enemies who spam Tower Shields or school-specific shields. Counterplay - Cleanse Charm: This is the direct hard counter. The Life spell Cleanse Charm (and its AoE version, Mass Cleanse Charm) removes all DoT effects (Poison, Fire, Ice, etc.) from a target. Healing Debuff (Infection): This is one of the most powerful tools in the game for difficult boss fights. Preventing an enemy from healing effectively can turn the tide of battle. Blading for DoTs: Damage-enhancing blades (Blade spells) affect the total damage of the Poison when it is cast. A 40% blade will make the entire DoT hit 40% harder. Visual Identity Poison spells almost always have a green or purple color scheme, with icons featuring skulls, serpents, dripping vials, or plague doctors. Summary: Why Use Poison? As a Death Wizard: It's central to your survivability and strategy. Use it to heal, break shields, and soften targets. As a Wizard of Any School: Poison/DoT spells from gear or secondary training are great utility tools for dealing with heavily shielded opponents. In Team Play: Casting Infection/Virulent Plague on a boss is one of the most supportive and high-IQ moves you can make. Final Pro-Tip: Pay attention to the damage type! A "Death Poison" will be blocked by a Death shield, but a "Myth Poison" from a Basilisk will be blocked by a Myth shield. The "Poison" effect is the delivery method, but the school of the damage matters for resistance and shields. Hope this helps you master the art of Poison in the Spiral

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
