Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Of course! In Wizard101, Jewels are socketable items that grant your character additional stats, powers, or utility. They are a crucial part of min-maxing your gear in the mid to late game. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know about Jewels. The Basics: Socketing & Types Jewel Types: There are three types, each fitting into a specific socket on your gear: Circle Jewels: Fit into Circle Sockets. Most common type. Provide raw stats (Damage, Resist, Critical, Block, etc.). Square Jewels: Fit into Square Sockets. Provide secondary stats (Accuracy, Pierce, Stun Resistance, etc.). Triangle Jewels: Fit into Triangle Sockets. Provide universal resistances (e.g., "Fire & Storm Giver") or specific utility stats (like Shadow Pip Rating). Gear with Sockets: Not all gear has sockets. High-level gear from worlds like Polaris, Mirage, Empyrea, Karamelle, Lemuria, and Novus typically have them. Some crafted, dropped, or pack gear also features sockets. Socketing & Removing: You can add or remove jewels at any time for a small gold cost at a Jeweler NPC (found in most major worlds) or in your own Castle using a Jeweler's Crafting Station. How to Get Jewels Jewels come from several sources: Farming: Defeating bosses (especially in later worlds) is a primary source. Specific bosses have known jewel drops. Gardening: Planting certain high-level plants (like Evil Magma Peas, Couch Potatoes, Ultra King Parsley) yields jewels as harvest rewards. Crafting: Many jewels, especially the most powerful ones, are crafted at a Jeweler's Crafting Station. Recipes are often purchased from vendors in later worlds (e.g., the Recipe Vendor in the Atheneum in Khrysalis). Fishing: Chests from fishing can contain jewels. Loyalty Shop & Events: Some special jewels are available during events or from the Loyalty Shop. Important Jewel Stats & Terminology Mighty / Thinking Cap / etc.: These are Jewel Talents. A jewel has both a stat and a talent. Mighty: Increases the strength of the stat on the jewel (e.g., a +6% Fire Damage jewel with Mighty becomes +7%). Thinking Cap: Increases the strength of the socket itself, boosting whatever jewel you place in it. Brilliant: Grants a small amount of Power Pip chance. Piercing Jewels: Some of the most sought-after jewels, especially for PvP and high-level PvE. Square Jewels that grant Pierce are essential for breaking through enemy resistances. Damage & Critical Jewels: Circle Jewels that boost your school's damage or critical rating are standard for offensive builds. Resist & Block Jewels: Circle Jewels crucial for defensive/tank builds. Accuracy Jewels: Square Jewels vital for ensuring high-pip spells don't fizzle. Crafting & The "Meta" Jewels End-game players almost exclusively use crafted jewels because they offer the highest stat values and most desirable combinations. Key Crafted Jewels (Examples): Piercing Jewels (Square): Sapphire of [School] Piercing (e.g., Sapphire of Ice Piercing). Damage Jewels (Circle): Pain-Bringer (+3% Universal Damage) or Pain-Giver (+4% Universal Damage, rarer). Critical Jewels (Circle): Furnace (+6% Fire Critical) or its school equivalents. Triangle Utility: Death-Dealer (Death Damage), Spell-Proof (Universal Resist), or Heart of the [School] (School-specific pip chance). The Crafting Process is a GRIND: Farm Reagents: You'll need lots of Salt Crystals, Blood Moss, Diamonds, Sunstones, etc. Farm "Base Jewels": Crafted jewels require specific dropped jewels as ingredients (e.g., to craft a Pain-Bringer, you need a Tear of Destiny jewel). Transmute: Combine the reagents and base jewel at the Jeweler's Crafting Station. Pro Tips & Strategy Don't Ignore Sockets: Even mid-level sockets can be filled with useful jewels from gardening or drops. Jewel Management: Use your Shared Bank or a Jewel Vault (like the "Jewel Connoisseur's Case" from the Crown Shop) to organize and store jewels. PvP vs. PvE Setup: Have different gear sets with different jewels. PvP often prioritizes Pierce, Block, and Stun Resistance, while PvE often focuses on Damage, Critical, and Accuracy. Check the Bazaar: Lower-level and utility jewels (like "Gobbler" jewels for fishing) often appear in the Auction House (Bazaar). Pet Jewels: Pets have their own separate jewel system! These grant talents or stats to your pet and are managed through the Pet window. Where to Start? Beginner: Check the Bazaar for simple +Damage or +Resist jewels. Socket what you find. Mid-Game (Avalon - Khrysalis): Start gardening (Couch Potatoes are best) for a steady jewel income. Farm bosses for specific jewel drops. End-Game (Darkmoor & Beyond): Focus on crafting the meta jewels (Piercing, Pain-Bringer, Furnace*, etc.). This is a major long-term goal. By effectively using jewels, you can gain a significant edge, customizing your wizard to perfectly fit your playstyle, whether you're a solo questor, a team support, or a PvP duelist.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
