Of course! Evil Magma Peas (EMPs) are arguably the most famous and sought-after gardening plant in Wizard101. Heres a comprehensive breakdown of everything you need to know. What Are Evil Magma Peas? They are a "Prickly Bear" type plant (rank 8) that drops some of the best rewards in the game, primarily: Power Pip Chance Jewels (the main attraction) Mega Snack (the #1 reason most gardeners grow them) Empower TC (a universal high-value trading currency) Gold, reagents, and other useful treasure cards. They are the "evil" variant of the regular Magma Pea, meaning they have a chance to cast a fire spell on pests when they attack. Why Are They So Valuable? Mega Snack Factory: They are the most efficient source for Couch Potatoes and Pixie Stix, the two best "Mega Snack" plants in the game. Growing a patch of EMPs essentially fuels your pet training for all your wizards. Power Pip Jewels: They are the primary non-crowns source for Pips O' Plenty and Heart of the Pip jewels, which are crucial for maximizing your power pip chance, especially at lower levels or for specific gear setups. Profit & Self-Sufficiency: The Empower TC and other drops can be sold or traded for everything you need, making them the cornerstone of the in-game economy for dedicated players. How to Get Evil Magma Peas This is the hard part. They are extremely rare and have no guaranteed source. Primary Methods: Farming Bosses: The most common method is farming specific bosses in later worlds. The Beastman Fight Club (in the underground area of Savarstaad Pass, Grizzleheim) is the most popular spot. The boss Troubled Warriors has a confirmed drop chance. Other sources include Lord Nightshade (for very low-level wizards), Gloomthorn Nightmare (Karamelle), and The Rat (in the final dungeon of Dragonspyre). Gardening Drops: Very rarely, they can be dropped as a "bonus seed" from harvesting other high-level plants like King Parsley, Ultra King Parsley, or even other Evil Magma Peas. Fishing: They can be fished from Permanent Fire School Houses (like the one in the Wizard City dorm rooms) using Fire School Sigil spells. This is tedious but passive. Crowns Shop/Gift Cards: They are occasionally available in special bundles or as a reward from the Keeper's Lore Pack. They are never worth buying for Crowns directly from the shop due to the exorbitant cost. How to Grow Them Effectively Once you have one, the goal is to multiply them. Needs: They like Pixie music and Fire School spells. They are bothered by all 6 pests (Flies, Weevils, etc.). The "Stacking" Method: The key to efficient EMP gardening is to plant them in a tight, 5x5 plot (or 4x4, 6x6) using the Large Garden spell. You interlock the circles of needs so that one spell (like a Pixie or Fire Blast) affects many plants at once. Pest Control: Use Rank 1 Pest Spells (like Insect Swarm, Fire Cat, etc.) to kill pests cheaply. Never let pests succeed, as they can destroy a precious seed. Harvesting: At Mature and Elder, they have a chance to drop other EMP seeds. Getting your first EMP to Elder is the biggest hurdle; after that, you can slowly build a farm. Evil Magma Peas vs. Couch Potatoes This is a common question for new gardeners: Couch Potatoes: Easier to get (farmable in Grizzleheim/Mirage), grow faster, and are more efficient for snacks only. They drop Couch Potato seeds and Goldens. Evil Magma Peas: Much harder to get, but are the ultimate "all-in-one" plant. They are the best source for jewels and Empower TC, while still being an excellent snack source. The general advice: Start by farming for Couch Potatoes first to build your snack economy and gardening rank. Once you're established, focus your efforts on acquiring your first Evil Magma Pea. Quick Tips Patience is key. Getting your first seed can take dozens (or hundreds) of boss runs. Use the "Gardening" tab in your Castle Magic to automate needs. Cast Pixie and Fire Blast enchantments on your garden plot. Always garden with a "Green Thumb" boost (from a house like the Red Barn Farm or from potions) to reach Elder faster. Check the Wizard101 Central Wiki or fan forums for the most up-to-date farming locations and gardening layouts. In short, Evil Magma Peas are the end-game goal for serious gardeners in Wizard101. They represent a massive investment of time upfront but provide limitless resources and convenience once established. Good luck

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
