wizard101 best school
That's a classic and hotly debated question in Wizard101! There's no single "best" school because it depends heavily on your playstyle, whether you're playing solo or with a team, and what part of the game you're focusing on (PvE questing, dungeons, or PvP). Heres a breakdown of the schools to help you decide which might be best for you. Top Contenders for "Best" in Different Categories Best for Solo Play (Easiest Questing) Death School: Universally considered the easiest and safest school to solo the entire game. Why? Their spells steal health from enemies, healing you as you deal damage. This means you rarely need to pack healing spells or rely on a secondary school early on. It's forgiving and powerful. Fire School: A very close second. Fire wizards have high damage-over-time (DoT) spells that break through shields and excellent raw damage later on. They are less tanky than Death but often kill faster. Best for Raw Damage & Speed Storm School: The undisputed highest damage output in the game. They are the "glass cannons" they hit harder and faster than any other school but have the lowest health and accuracy early on. Playing Storm is high-risk, high-reward, and more challenging to solo early worlds. Fire School: As mentioned, Fire is the other top damage school, trading a bit of Storm's peak damage for more durability and DoT effects. Best for Team Support (Dungeons & Raids) Life School: The premier healer. Every tough team needs a Life wizard. While their solo questing can be slower due to lower damage, they are always in high demand for group content. Ice School: The ultimate tank. They have the highest health and natural resistances. In endgame dungeons, the Ice wizard's job is to taunt enemies, absorb hits, and protect the damage dealers (Storm/Fire). Balance School: The versatile support. They can buff everyone's damage (Bladestorm), weaken enemies, and their damage type is rarely resisted. A skilled Balance wizard is a huge force multiplier for any team. Best for Strategy & Complexity Myth School: The summoner/minion master. Myth has unique spells that summon creatures to fight alongside them and spells that destroy enemy wards (shields). They are a solid, well-rounded school with a strategic twist. Balance School: Also fits here due to its unique "Jack of all trades" nature and use of multiple damage types. Quick School Personality Guide: Storm: Reckless, powerful, impatient. Fire: Passionate, destructive, cunning (uses DoTs). Ice: Resilient, protective, patient. Myth: Strategic, creative, independent. Life: Nurturing, supportive, steadfast. Death: Ambitious, self-sufficient, cunning. Balance: Harmonious, adaptable, wise. Final Recommendation for a New Player: If you're new or playing mostly alone: Choose Death. It will give you the smoothest and most forgiving experience. If you want big numbers and love risk: Choose Storm or Fire. If you always play with friends and want to be the team's backbone: Choose Life or Ice. If you want something unique and strategic: Choose Myth or Balance. Pro Tip: Your secondary school matters much less than it used to. Focus on your primary school's spells and use training points for universal utility spells (like Feint from Death, Tower Shield from Ice, and Satyr from Life) rather than trying to master a second damage school. Ultimately, the best school is the one whose theme and playstyle you enjoy the most. You'll spend hundreds of hours with your wizard, so pick the one that appeals to you!

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
