Of course! In Wizard101, "Attenuate" is a special spell mechanic that reduces the outgoing damage of a specific school of magic for a set number of rounds. Heres a detailed breakdown of everything you need to know about Attenuate spells: What Attenuate Does Reduces Damage: It applies a universal weakness (a negative damage modifier) to all spells of a single, specified school cast by the target. School-Specific: Unlike a general Weakness, which affects the next hit regardless of school, Attenuate only works against one school (e.g., "Storm Attenuate" only weakens Storm spells). Multi-Round Effect: The effect lasts for a set number of rounds (usually 4), unless removed by a "Cleanse Charm" ward spell. How to Get Attenuate Spells Attenuate spells are not learned naturally through your class trainer. They are acquired through specific means: Pet Talents: The most common source. Many pets offer cards or item cards that cast an Attenuate spell (e.g., the Fossil Avenger pet gives a "Balance Attenuate" card). Equipment: Some late-game wands, athames, or decks may provide an Attenuate spell as an item card. Spellements: Certain Attenuate spells can be upgraded via spellements, often obtained from packs or events. Key Attenuate Spells Here are some of the most notable ones, often named after the Loremaster spell "Luminous Weaver": Luminous Weaver (Balance): The original and most famous. Applies a 25% Balance Attenuate for 4 rounds. Glowbugs (Balance): A multi-hit Balance spell that also applies a 25% Balance Attenuate. Storm Attenuate / Fire Attenuate / etc.: Similar spells exist for other schools, often from pets. Their strength can vary (e.g., 20%, 25%, or 30% reduction). Strategic Uses Attenuate is a powerful tool for support wizards and strategic players: Boss Fights: Crucial against bosses who primarily attack from one school. Putting a Storm Attenuate on the Storm Boss significantly reduces their threat for 4 rounds. PvP (Arena): Used to counter specific school strategies. If you see an opponent setting up for a big Fire hit, a well-timed Fire Attenuate can ruin their plan. Protecting Your Team: A Life or Balance wizard can use it to shield the entire team from a specific school's damage, acting as a form of "targeted armor." Stacking: It can be stacked with other weaknesses and armor for extreme damage reduction. Important Notes & Interactions Does NOT Stack with Itself: You cannot cast the same Attenuate (e.g., two Storm Attenuates) on the same target to increase the effect. The newer one will replace the old. Stacks with Other Debuffs: It does stack perfectly with general Weakness spells, Black Mantle, vulnerabilities, etc. Counts as a Ward: The Attenuate icon appears on the enemy as a "ward" (like a weakness). It can be removed by the opponent using a "Cleanse Charm" spell. Universal Effect: The damage reduction applies to all damage spells from that school, including Damage Over Time (DoT) ticks and multi-hit attacks, for its entire duration. Example in Combat You are facing the Storm boss Zeus in Mount Olympus. You (a supportive Balance wizard) cast "Storm Attenuate" on Zeus. For the next 4 rounds, whenever Zeus casts a Storm spell like Tempest or Storm Lord, its damage is reduced by 25% before any armor is calculated. Your team takes significantly less damage, making the fight much easier. In summary, Attenuate is a premier utility spell for controlled, strategic damage reduction. It's a hallmark of advanced play in both PvE and PvP, allowing teams to neutralize the primary threat of specific enemies.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
