wizard101 3d print
Excellent idea! 3D printing items from Wizard101 is a fantastic way to bring the Spiral into the real world. Heres a comprehensive guide to get you started, covering where to find models, what to print, and tips for success. Where to Find Wizard101 3D Models Unfortunately, KingsIsle doesn't officially release 3D models for printing. Most models come from the community through two main methods: Model Extraction & Sharing: Dedicated fans use tools to extract models, textures, and animations directly from the game files. These are often shared on community sites. Primary Resource: The Wizard101 3D Model Repository (Search for this phrase). This is a community-driven Google Drive or Discord server that hosts hundreds of extracted models, often in .obj or .fbx format. This is your best starting point. Platforms: Check Thingiverse, Printables, and Cults3D. Search for "Wizard101," "Spiral," or specific item names (e.g., "Helephant," "Death School Sigil"). The selection is limited but growing. Fan-Made & Remixed Models: Talented creators design their own versions or remix extracted models to be more 3D-printer friendly. Example Creators: Look for designers like LordRalof or NightHunter on the platforms above, who have uploaded Wizard101-themed creations. Popular & Practical Things to Print Wands & Weapons: The iconic gear! Popular choices include the Dragonrider's Lance, Sky Iron Hasta, Lunari Staff, or any of the ornate spell-forged wands. Pets: Perfect as desk buddies. Helephant, Kookaburra, Frostcaller, Piggle, and Opossum are favorites. Mounts: More challenging but rewarding. Models of the Broomstick, Dragon Wings, or Carnival Carousel make great displays. School Sigils: Simple, flat, and iconic. Perfect for wall art, coasters, or keychains. The Death, Fire, and Storm sigils are particularly popular. Housing Items: Like the Crystal Golem statue or the Spiral Door. Badges & Medals: Fun as pins or magnets. Before You Print: Crucial Preparation Steps Game models are not optimized for 3D printing. You must prepare them. Software You'll Need: Blender (Free): The go-to for cleaning, repairing, and modifying 3D models. Essential for decimating (reducing polygon count), fixing non-manifold edges, and scaling. Meshmixer (Free): Excellent for automatic repair and adding supports for complex prints. Your Slicer (PrusaSlicer, Cura, etc.): For final preparation and generating print-specific supports. Key Model Fixes: Make it Manifold/Watertight: The model must be a solid object with no holes. Use Blender's or Meshmixer's "3D Print Toolbox" or "Analysis > Inspector" to find and fix holes. Check Normals: Ensure all faces are pointing outward. Scale it: Game models have arbitrary scale. Decide if you want a 6-inch wand or a life-size pet, and scale accordingly. Decimate (Simplify): Game models are often extremely high-poly. Use the Decimate modifier in Blender to reduce the polygon count to a level your printer can handle without losing important detail. Printing & Post-Processing Tips Supports: Wands with intricate cross-guards, pets with outstretched limbs, and mounts will need carefully placed supports. Use tree/organic supports in your slicer for easier removal and less scarring. Orientation: Print wands vertically for strength along their length. Print pets and sigils flat on the build plate for stability. Material: PLA: Perfect for most display items. Easy to print and paint. PETG: Good for items that need more durability (like a wand you might handle). Resin (SLA Printing): Ideal for capturing the finest details on pets, sigils, and small wand toppers. Requires more post-processing (washing, curing) but gives the smoothest finish. Painting: This is where they come to life! Prime: Always use a spray primer (grey or white) first. Acrylics: Use high-quality acrylic model paints (Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter). Dry Brushing: Essential for making details pop on fur, scales, or metallic edges. Washes: Use diluted dark paints (inks or washes) to settle into crevices and add depth. Legal & Ethical Note Personal Use Only: These models are KingsIsle's intellectual property. It is generally accepted to extract and print models for your own personal, non-commercial use as a fan. Do Not Sell: Never sell 3D prints of these models. This violates copyright and harms the community's relationship with the game developers. Credit Creators: If you share photos of your print online, credit the model source if possible. Getting Started - A Simple Project Start with a School Sigil. They are simple 2D shapes, easy to find, require almost no cleanup, and print quickly. Move to a popular wand (search for "Sky Iron Hasta model"). Then try a pet like a Piggle. Have fun, and happy printing! May your layers be smooth and your supports break away cleanly.

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
