Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Ultima Online (UO) is one of the first and most influential MMORPGs, released in 1997 by Origin Systems. Its open-ended sandbox gameplay allows players to explore, craft, fight, trade, and interact in a dynamic world. Heres a breakdown of its core gameplay elements: Character Creation & Skills No Fixed Classes: Players customize their characters by training skills (up to 700 skill points total, with a cap of 100 per skill initially). Skill-Based Progression: Skills improve through use (e.g., swinging a sword increases Swordsmanship, casting spells boosts Magery). Stat System: Strength (affects HP & carry weight), Dexterity (stamina & speed), Intelligence (mana pool). Combat & PvP Real-Time Combat: No tab-targetingplayers manually aim attacks/spells. PvP (Player vs. Player): - Open-world PvP with full loot drops (players can lose gear on death). - Murder system: Repeated PKs (Player Killers) become "red" (outlaws) and face consequences (guards attack them, bounty hunters chase them). - Factions & guild wars for structured PvP. PvE (Player vs. Environment): - Dungeons with tough monsters and bosses. - Champion spawns (raid-like events requiring group coordination). Crafting & Economy Player-Driven Economy: Almost all items are crafted by players (blacksmiths, tailors, carpenters, alchemists, etc.). Resource Gathering: Mining, lumberjacking, farming reagents for magic. Housing: Players can place houses (limited space, highly competitive in popular servers). Open World & Freedom Sandbox Gameplay: No linear questsplayers create their own goals (e.g., become a master thief, a wealthy trader, or a notorious PK). Full Loot & Risk: Death means losing items (unless insured or blessed). Karma & Reputation: Actions affect how NPCs and players perceive you (heroes, neutrals, or villains). Magic & Abilities Spellcasting (Magery): Over 60 spells across 8 circles (e.g., Fireball, Gate Travel, Resurrection). Other Magic Skills: Necromancy, Chivalry, Bushido, Ninjitsu (added in expansions). Reagents Required: Spells need ingredients (e.g., sulfur for Fireball). Housing & Ownership Player Housing: Houses act as storage, workshops, and status symbols. Decay System: Unmaintained houses collapse, freeing up land. Expansions & Notable Features The Second Age (T2A): Added new lands, PvP balance, and dungeons. Renaissance (UOR): Split Felucca (PvP) and Trammel (PvE) worlds. Age of Shadows (AOS): Introduced item insurance, new combat mechanics. Later Expansions: Added Necromancy, Paladin/ Samurai systems, and more. Community & Roleplay RP Servers: Some shards (private servers) enforce roleplaying. Player Events: Guild wars, tournaments, and community-run stories. Modern UO Official Servers: Still active (subscription-based, with free-to-play options). Free Shards: Many private servers emulate classic UO (e.g., UO Outlands, UO Forever). Why Its Unique Unmatched Freedom: Few games allow the same level of player-driven chaos/consequence. Permadeath (Optional): Some hardcore servers feature true permadeath. Legacy: Inspired games like EVE Online and Albion Online. Would you like details on a specific aspect (e.g., PvP tactics, best crafting professions, or private server recommendations)?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
