Here is a comprehensive overview of the best AI tools for UI/UX design in 2024, categorized by what they do best. From Text/Code to UI (The "Generative" UI Tools) These tools turn prompts or URLs into fully editable design files. They are revolutionizing the "first draft" phase. Uizard (Best for Beginners & Rapid Prototyping): - What it does: Convert screenshots to editable designs, or type a prompt (e.g., "Make a dark mode dashboard for a fitness app") and it generates a multi-screen prototype. - Why use it: Extremely fast. Great for non-designers building MVPs. Visily (Best for Wireframes & Structure): - What it does: AI that converts hand-drawn sketches or screenshots into clean wireframes. It also has a "Text to Diagram" feature for user flows. - Why use it: Perfect for the early, messy brainstorming phase. Galileo AI (Best for High-Fidelity Designs): - What it does: Primarily a text-to-UI tool. You describe the screen, and it generates a polished, high-fidelity Figma design with real components and illustrations. - Why use it: The quality of the generated UI is industry-leading. The Figma & Sketch Plugins (Workflow Integrators) These are plugins you install inside your existing design tool (usually Figma) to supercharge your workflow. Magician (by Diagram): - What it does: A Figma plugin that acts like a design "magic wand." It can generate icons, copywriting, and even images directly inside your canvas based on a prompt. - Best for: Quickly filling in placeholder content with high-quality output. Genius (by Antimetal): - What it does: A Figma plugin that can restructure your layers, rename them properly, and turn a messy group into a clean Auto Layout frame. - Best for: Developer handoff. It saves hours of cleaning up layers. Attention Insight (Predictive Analytics): - What it does: AI that generates a "attention heatmap" of your design before you launch. - Best for: Pre-launch validation without running expensive user tests. UX Research & Testing (The Data Driven Tools) These tools use AI to analyze user behavior and feedback. Hotjar (with AI Highlights): - What it does: Uses AI to analyze session recordings and highlight "rage clicks" (users clicking repeatedly out of frustration) or "dead clicks" (clicks on non-interactive elements). - Best for: Understanding why users are failing on your app. UserTesting (with AI Summarization): - What it does: Instead of watching hours of videos, the AI summarizes the sentiment, key pain points, and verbatim quotes from user tests. - Best for: Speeding up qualitative research analysis. Canny (AI Sentiment Analysis): - What it does: Analyzes user feedback and feature requests to automatically tag them by sentiment and urgency. - Best for: Prioritizing which UI changes to make based on user demand. Visual Asset Generation (Icons, Images, 3D) These are specifically for the "UI" part (the look and feel). Midjourney / DALL-E 3: - What it does: Generate high-quality backgrounds, hero images, and illustrations. Not a direct UI tool, but essential for sourcing unique assets. - Best for: Creating custom textures, surreal backgrounds, or product mockups. Iconfinder (AI Icon Generator): - What it does: Describe the icon you need (e.g., "a fluffy cat holding a coffee cup in flat vector style"), and the AI generates a matching icon set. - Best for: Building a custom icon library quickly. Spline AI: - What it does: Text-to-3D for UI design. Type "a glassmorphism button" and it generates a 3D interactive element you can place in your prototype. - Best for: Adding 3D motion and depth to your UI. The All-in-One "Design Co-pilot" Framer AI: - What it does: A web builder where the AI generates a complete multi-page website from a prompt. You can then edit every pixel, add animations, and publish live. It is both a design tool and a code generator. - Why it's special: It doesn't just make a mockup; it makes a functional website. Accessibility & Color (The "Smart" Tools) Khroma: - What it does: Trains an AI on your color preferences. It then generates endless color palettes, typography combos, and gradient options that are guaranteed to look good together based on your taste. Stark: - What it does: (Figma Plugin) AI-powered color contrast checker and "alt-text" generator for images to ensure your design is accessible to the blind or color-blind. Recommendation for a UI/UX Designer in 2024 The "New Standard" Stack: Figma (Base tool) Magician (Plugin for icons & copy) Uizard (For quick wireframe generation and ideation) Midjourney (For custom visual assets) Advice: Do not rely on AI to make final decisions about user flow or information architecture. AI is excellent at generating options and automating repetitive tasks (like layer naming, icon generation, color checking), but it is currently poor at understanding complex human psychology. Use it as a "10x speed" assistant, not a replacement for UX thinking.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
