Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

This is a great question. "Artificial Intelligence software" is a broad category, and the way you classify it depends on whether you're looking at the capability level (how smart it is) or the function/technology (what it actually does). Here is a breakdown of the main types, organized by both frameworks. By Capability Level (The "Stage of AI") This is the most common theoretical classification, describing how advanced the AI's reasoning is. Type 1: Reactive Machines - What it does: These are the most basic types of AI. They have no memory and cannot use past experiences to inform current decisions. They perceive the world directly and react to it. - Example: Deep Blue, the IBM chess computer. It could analyze the board and choose the best move, but it had no memory of past games and couldn't learn or improve. - Software examples: Simple spam filters, basic chess engines. Type 2: Limited Memory - What it does: This is the most common type of AI in use today. These systems can look at historical data (past "memories") to make predictions and decisions. They are "trained" on data and can improve over time. - Examples: - Self-driving cars: They observe the speed and direction of other cars (past data from the last few seconds) to predict their future movement. - Chatbots (like early versions of ChatGPT): They look at the last few sentences you typed to generate a coherent response. - Recommendation engines (Netflix, Amazon): They look at your viewing/purchase history to recommend new items. Type 3: Theory of Mind (Theoretical / Future) - What it does: This AI would understand that humans have thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and intentions that differ from its own. It could interact with people on a social and emotional level. - Current Status: Does not exist. This is a major goal for advanced robotics and social AI research. Type 4: Self-Aware (Theoretical / Future) - What it does: The "holy grail" of AI. This AI would have a sense of self, consciousness, and its own desires and emotions. It would be "aware" of its own existence. - Current Status: Purely science fiction (for now). No AI software currently has any form of consciousness. By Function & Technology (The "Real-World" Types) This is a more practical classification based on what the software actually accomplishes. A. Machine Learning (ML) Platforms & Libraries This is the foundation of most modern AI. These are tools used to build other AI software. What they do: They allow developers to train models on large datasets to find patterns and make predictions without being explicitly programmed for every rule. Key Software Types: - Supervised Learning: The model is trained on labeled data (e.g., images of cats labeled "cat"). Used for classification and regression. - Unsupervised Learning: The model finds patterns in unlabeled data (e.g., grouping customers by purchasing behavior). Used for clustering. - Reinforcement Learning: The model learns through trial and error, receiving rewards for correct actions (e.g., training a robot to walk or an AI to play a game). Example Software: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI. B. Large Language Models (LLMs) & Generative AI This is the most visible and rapidly evolving category of AI software right now. What they do: They understand, summarize, generate, and predict new content. They are trained on massive text and code datasets. Key Sub-types: - Text Generation: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, Llama. - Image Generation: Midjourney, DALL-E 3, Stable Diffusion. - Code Generation: GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Amazon CodeWhisperer. - Music & Audio Generation: Jukebox (OpenAI), MusicLM (Google), ElevenLabs for voice cloning. - Video Generation: RunwayML, Pika, Sora (OpenAI). C. Computer Vision Software This allows computers to "see" and interpret the visual world. What they do: Analyze images and videos to identify objects, scenes, faces, text, and actions. Applications: Facial recognition (iPhones, security cameras), medical imaging (finding tumors in X-rays), autonomous vehicles (detecting pedestrians), manufacturing (defect detection). Example Software: OpenCV, Google Cloud Vision API, Amazon Rekognition, Microsoft Computer Vision. D. Natural Language Processing (NLP) Software This allows computers to understand, interpret, and manipulate human language. (LLMs are a very advanced subset of NLP). What they do: Go beyond simple chatbots to perform specific language tasks. Applications: - Sentiment Analysis: Determining if a customer review is positive, negative, or neutral. - Text Summarization: Condensing long articles into key points. - Machine Translation: Google Translate, DeepL. - Named Entity Recognition (NER): Identifying names, dates, and places in text. Example Software: spaCy, NLTK, Stanford CoreNLP, IBM Watson Natural Language Understanding. E. Recommendation Engines This is a highly commercialized and profitable form of AI. What they do: Predict what a user will like most from a large list of items (products, videos, songs, news articles). How they work: Using collaborative filtering (what similar users liked) and content-based filtering (what the user has liked in the past). Example Software: The core recommendation algorithms at Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, TikTok, and YouTube. F. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with AI What they do: These are software "bots" that automate repetitive, rule-based tasks. When combined with AI (Intelligent Process Automation or IPA), they can handle unstructured data like images or text. Applications: Automatically reading an invoice (an image), extracting the data, and entering it into an accounting system. Example Software: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism. Summary for Practical Use: If you want to... You need this type of AI software: : : Write an essay or get a recipe Large Language Model (LLM) (e.g., ChatGPT) Create a picture from a text description Generative AI for Images (e.g., Midjourney) Find defects in a factory product on a video feed Computer Vision Analyze thousands of customer emails for sentiment Natural Language Processing (NLP) Predict which movies a user will want to watch next Recommendation Engine Build your own custom AI to predict sales Machine Learning Platform (e.g., TensorFlow) Automate data entry from scanned documents Intelligent Process Automation (RPA + AI)

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
