Trove Finance is a decentralized borrowing protocol built on the Ethereum and Arbitrum blockchains, primarily associated with Liquity Protocol, a permissionless and non-custodial system for borrowing LUSD (a USD-pegged stablecoin) against ETH collateral. Key Features of Trove Finance (Liquity Protocol): Interest-Free Loans Unlike most DeFi lending platforms, Trove does not charge ongoing interest on loans. Instead, it has a one-time borrowing fee (variable based on demand). Minimum Collateral Ratio (MCR) of 110% Users must maintain at least 110% collateralization (ETH:LUSD) to avoid liquidation. LUSD Stablecoin A decentralized, algorithmic stablecoin soft-pegged to USD, backed by ETH. Stability Pool & Liquidations If a Trove falls below 110% collateralization, it can be liquidated, and Stability Pool depositors (in LUSD) earn ETH rewards. Redemptions LUSD can be redeemed for ETH at face value (plus a small fee) if the system is undercollateralized. Governance-Minimized Liquity has no admin keys or DAO, making it highly censorship-resistant. How Trove Works: Users deposit ETH into a Trove (a collateralized debt position). They can borrow LUSD up to a maximum of 90.9% LTV (110% collateral ratio). Loans can be repaid anytime to reclaim ETH collateral. Risks & Considerations: Liquidation Risk If ETH price drops sharply, Troves below 110% are liquidated. Borrowing Fees Dynamic fee based on demand (can be high during volatile markets). No Yield on Idle LUSD Unlike other stablecoins, LUSD doesnt natively earn interest (but can be staked in Stability Pool for liquidation rewards). Where to Use Trove? The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
