Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Review 2024 Update Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series XS Developer: ZeniMax Online Studios Publisher: Bethesda Softworks Overview (2024) Nearly a decade after its launch, The Elder Scrolls Online remains one of the most robust MMORPGs on the market. With consistent updates, expansions, and a passionate community, ESO in 2024 offers an enormous amount of content, refined gameplay, and deep storytellingthough it still has some familiar quirks. Strengths Expansive, Living World Rich Lore & Storytelling: ESO excels in delivering Elder Scrolls-style narratives, with fully voiced quests and morally gray choices. The 2024 Gold Road expansion continues this trend, introducing new zones and a compelling main story. Open Exploration: Unlike many MMOs, ESO encourages exploration with hidden dungeons, books, and dynamic events. The world feels alive and packed with detail. Flexible Progression & Builds Class & Skill Freedom: The games hybridization system allows for deep customizationmagicka-based warriors, stealthy healers, and other unique builds are viable. No Mandatory Grind: Level-scaling means you can explore anywhere without feeling underpowered, and the Champion Point system offers long-term progression. Regular Content Updates 2024s Gold Road Expansion: Adds a new zone (West Weald), a major story arc, and the Scribing system (customizable spell mechanics). Previous Expansions Still Relevant: Older DLCs like Morrowind, Summerset, and High Isle remain high-quality, with plenty of content for new players. Strong Community & Multiplayer Active Player Base: Dungeon finders, PvP (Cyrodiil), and guilds keep the game social. Housing and roleplaying communities thrive. Cross-Play (Console-Only): PS/Xbox cross-play improves matchmaking, though PC remains separate. Weaknesses Combat Still Feels Floaty While improved, ESOs action combat lacks the weight of single-player Elder Scrolls games. Light attack weaving remains a divisive mechanic. Monetization & DLC Fatigue The ESO Plus subscription is almost mandatory for serious players (unlocks DLCs, craft bag). The Crown Store sells cosmetics, mounts, and QoL upgrades, which can feel aggressive. Performance & Bugs Server stability in PvP (Cyrodiil) is still inconsistent. Some older zones show their age visually. Verdict (2024) 8.5/10 The Elder Scrolls Online in 2024 is a fantastic MMO for fans of rich storytelling, exploration, and flexible gameplay. While its combat and monetization arent perfect, the sheer volume of content and frequent updates make it one of the best value MMORPGs available. Best For: Elder Scrolls fans who want a living Tamriel. Players who prefer story over hardcore raiding. Those who enjoy solo-friendly MMOs with optional multiplayer. Skip If: You prefer tight, action-heavy combat (like Black Desert). You dislike subscription models or grinding for cosmetics. Final Thought: ESO isnt just survivingits thriving, with Gold Road proving ZeniMaxs commitment to keeping Tamriel fresh. Whether youre a returning player or a newcomer, theres never been a better time to dive in. Would you like a breakdown of the latest Gold Road mechanics or a comparison to other MMOs?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
