In The Elder Scrolls Online, a "one-shot" refers to a single, self-contained adventure, often designed to be completed in a single play session (typically 24 hours). If you're looking to run or play a critical role-style TESO one-shotmeaning a narrative-heavy, character-driven session with dramatic momentsheres how you could approach it: Setting & Theme Location: Choose a distinct TESO zone (e.g., Vvardenfell, The Gold Coast, Wrothgar) or a smaller, self-contained area like a Daedric ruin, a city under siege, or a haunted forest. Tone: Match Critical Roles balance of humor, drama, and action. For example: - Political intrigue in Daggerfall or the Aldmeri Dominion. - Supernatural horror in a cursed Reachfolk village. - Heist targeting a Telvanni vault or an Imperial artifact. Pre-Made Characters To emulate Critical Roles depth, provide players with pre-made characters that have: Backstories tied to the one-shots conflict (e.g., a disgraced Morag Tong assassin, a rogue College of Whispers agent). Personal stakes (e.g., a Dark Elf seeking redemption, a Breton noble framed for treason). Unique abilities (mix combat, social, and utility skills). Story Structure Hook: Start in medias rese.g., the party is already imprisoned, mid-heist, or ambushed by cultists. Twists: Add TESO lore twists, like a Betrayal by a Daedric patron or a hidden Ayleid relic corrupting a faction. Climax: A dramatic showdowne.g., stopping a ritual to summon Mehrunes Dagon, or a duel atop a Dwemer ruin. Rules & Flow Simplify combat: Use theater-of-the-mind or abstract maps to keep pacing tight. Encourage RP: Include NPCs with strong personalities (a flamboyant Khajiit caravan master, a paranoid Argonian spy). Critical Role-style moments: - Hidden lore reveals (e.g., the artifact theyre stealing is a fake planted by Hermaeus Mora). - Moral choices (e.g., spare a repentant Worm Cultist or sacrifice them to close a Oblivion gate). Example One-Shot Outline Title: "The Ghosts of Hackdirt" Hook: The party is hired to investigate disappearances in a creepy Breton village (Hackdirt, from Oblivion). Act 1: Uncover ties to the "Deep Ones" (a secret Daedric cult). Act 2: Escape a underground ritual site while NPCs turn into husks. Climax: Fight a reanimated "Blessed One" (a grotesque flesh abomination). Epilogue: The village burnswas it justice, or did the players doom innocents? Resources Lore: Pull from TESOs in-game books or faction quests. Music: Use TESOs soundtrack or ambient tracks (e.g., Skyrim Atmospheres for tension). VTT: Roll20 or Foundry with ESO-themed art. Would you like help tailoring this to a specific TESO faction or Daedric Prince? Or are you looking for mechanics for a TTRPG system (e.g., UESRPG, D&D 5E conversion)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
