Imperial City in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) The Imperial City is a major zone and PvP (Player vs. Player) area in The Elder Scrolls Online, introduced as part of the Imperial City DLC (2015). It is set in the heart of Cyrodiil, the war-torn capital of the crumbling Empire, contested by the three alliances (Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact) during the Three Banners War. Key Features of the Imperial City: PvPvE Gameplay - Unlike regular Cyrodiil PvP, the Imperial City combines PvP combat with challenging PvE enemies, including Daedra, Imperial forces, and bosses. - Players must fight both enemy players and NPCs to control key districts. Six Controllable Districts - Each district (Arena, Arboretum, Elven Gardens, Memorial District, Nobles District, Temple District) has its own flag that alliances can capture for bonuses. - Controlling districts grants passive bonuses like reduced respawn times or increased AP (Alliance Points). Sewers (Imperial City Prison & Underground) - The citys sewer system is a dangerous labyrinth filled with elite enemies, bosses, and hidden loot. - The Imperial City Prison is a group dungeon located beneath the city. Tel Var Stones - A special currency dropped by enemies in the Imperial City. - Collected stones multiply when held but are lost upon death (partially stolen by the killer). - Used to buy powerful gear, motifs, and other rewards from special merchants. Molag Bals Influence - The Daedric Prince Molag Bal has corrupted the city, with his minions (Xivkyn, Daedroths, etc.) patrolling the streets. - Players can encounter powerful bosses like the Imperial City Patrolling Horrors. Unique Gear & Rewards - Sets like Imperial Physique, Deadly Strike, and Spell Power Cure (from White-Gold Tower dungeon). - Rare motifs (Xivkyn, Daedric, and other styles). How to Access the Imperial City? Requires the Imperial City DLC* (included in ESO Plus or purchased separately). Accessible via the Alliance War menu (Campaigns Imperial City) or through the sewer entrances in Cyrodiil. Tips for New Players: Travel in groupssolo players are easy prey for enemy gankers. Watch for Daedric patrols and enemy players while farming Tel Var. Use stealth and mobility skills to avoid ambushes. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
