In The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), the Companions are a group of NPCs who can join you as allies in battle, similar to followers in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. However, unlike Skyrim's Companions (the warrior guild in Whiterun), ESO's companions are a newer feature introduced with the Blackwood Chapter (2021) and expanded in later updates. Available Companions in ESO (as of 2024) There are currently six companions in the game, each with unique personalities, skills, and quests: Mirri Elendis (Blackwood) A Dark Elf rogue with a hatred for undead and Daedra. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "An Unexpected Adversary" in Blackwood. - Skills: Stealthy, dual-wielding, and archery-focused. Bastian Hallix (Blackwood) A Breton mage and former scholar of the Mages Guild. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "A Chance Encounter" in Blackwood. - Skills: Magic-based, uses Destruction Staff and healing. Ember (High Isle) A Khajiit sorcerer with a playful, mischievous personality. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "A Smuggler's Last Stand" in High Isle. - Skills: Shock magic and speed-based attacks. Isobel Veloise (High Isle) A Breton knight with a noble and honorable demeanor. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "A Noble Guest" in High Isle. - Skills: Tank-style, sword-and-board combat. Sharp-as-Night (Necrom) An Argonian warden with a cynical but loyal nature. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "The Gift of Forgiveness" in Necrom. - Skills: Frost magic and survivalist abilities. Azandar al-Cybiades (Necrom) A Redguard scholar and arcanist with a love for ancient knowledge. - How to Unlock: Complete the quest "The Dreaming Son" in Necrom. - Skills: Arcanist-themed magic and support abilities. Companion Features Leveling & Gear: Companions level up with you and can be equipped with gear (weapons, armor, jewelry). Skills & Roles: Each has two skill lines (e.g., healer, tank, DPS) that you can customize. Rapport System: Your choices in dialogue and actions affect their approval (high rapport unlocks bonuses). Summoning: Only one companion can be active at a time (cannot be used in PvP or trials). How to Get Companions You must own the respective DLC/Chapter (Blackwood, High Isle, or Necrom). Complete their introductory quest in the associated zone. Would you like details on a specific companion's skills or quest?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
