In The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), armor plays a crucial role in character progression, survivability, and build customization. Heres a breakdown of key aspects: Armor Types ESO features three armor types, each with unique bonuses and playstyle synergies: Light Armor: Best for magicka-based builds (e.g., Sorcerers, Templars, Necromancers). - Passives: Magicka recovery, spell penetration, cost reduction. - Sets: Often boost spell damage, healing, or magicka pools. Medium Armor: Ideal for stamina-based builds (e.g., Nightblades, Dragonknights, Wardens). - Passives: Stamina recovery, weapon crit, stealth effectiveness. - Sets: Focus on weapon damage, stamina sustain, or physical crit. Heavy Armor: Suited for tanks or PvP bruisers (e.g., Dragonknights, Templars). - Passives: Health bonuses, damage mitigation, healing received. - Sets: Often provide resistances, health boosts, or group utility. Armor Slots 7 Slots Total: Head, Chest, Shoulders, Waist, Legs, Hands, Feet. Jewelry (3 slots): Rings and Necklace (not armor but part of gear sets). Armor Traits Common Traits: - Divines (boosts Mundus Stone effects). - Impenetrable (PvP crit resistance). - Reinforced (higher armor rating). - Well-Fitted (reductions to dodge/roll cost). Special Traits (craftable): - Training (XP bonus for leveling). - Nirnhoned (increases resistances or damage). Armor Sets ESO features hundreds of sets with unique bonuses (3/5-piece bonuses). Examples: PvE Meta: - Relequen (stamina DPS). - Mothers Sorrow (magicka DPS). - Plague Doctor (tank health stacking). PvP Staples: - Rallying Cry (team support). - Maras Balm (sustain/healing). Crafted Sets: - Hundings Rage (stamina DPS). - Julianos (magicka DPS). Armor Styles & Customization Motifs: Learn styles to craft armor in different visual designs (e.g., Daedric, Akaviri, Ancestral Orc). Outfits: Use the Outfit Station to change appearance without affecting stats. Dyes: Unlockable via achievements. Upgrading Armor Quality Tiers: White (Normal) Green (Fine) Blue (Superior) Purple (Epic) Gold (Legendary). Improvement Materials: Tempering Alloy (metal), Dreugh Wax (leather), Rosin (wood for shields). Weight Mixing Many builds mix armor types (e.g., 5-1-1 for Undaunted passive bonuses). Example: Magicka DPS might wear 5 light + 1 medium + 1 heavy. DLC & Chapter Armor Expansion zones (e.g., High Isle, Blackwood) introduce new sets like Pillar of Nirn (AoE damage) or Saxhleel Champion (support). Tips for Beginners Start with crafted sets (e.g., Julianos for magicka, Hundings Rage for stamina). Prioritize set bonuses over raw armor rating. Use the Collections tab to reconstruct lost gear. For specific builds, check resources like ESO-Hub or AlcastHQ. Would you like recommendations for a specific class or role?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
