Old School RuneScape (OSRS) vs. RuneScape 3 (RS3): Key Differences Both Old School RuneScape (OSRS) and RuneScape 3 (RS3) are popular MMORPGs by Jagex, but they cater to different playstyles. Heres a breakdown of their main differences: Gameplay & Mechanics OSRS: - Based on the 2007 version of RuneScape with classic point-and-click mechanics. - Simpler combat (no abilities, just auto-attacks and special attacks). - More grindy, with slower XP rates (but often seen as more rewarding). - Community-driven updates via polls (players vote on new content). RS3: - Modernized combat with an action bar (abilities, cooldowns, and rotations). - Faster XP rates, more quality-of-life features (e.g., lodestones for free teleports). - More solo-friendly with mechanics like Dungeoneering, Divination, and Archaeology. - Microtransactions (MTX) like Treasure Hunter (loot boxes for XP/bonuses). Graphics & Interface OSRS: - Retro, pixelated graphics (nostalgic for 2007 players). - Simple, fixed interface (can be resized but not heavily customized). RS3: - Updated 3D graphics, smoother animations, and dynamic lighting. - Fully customizable UI (move windows, resize, etc.). Economy & PvP OSRS: - Stronger PvP scene (Wilderness, Duel Arena replacementArena). - Gold is harder to earn, making it more valuable. - Bots are a bigger issue due to simpler mechanics. RS3: - PvP is nearly dead; focus is on PvM (bossing). - Inflation is higher due to faster gold-making methods. - More gold sinks to stabilize the economy. Updates & Community OSRS: - Updates are voted on by players (75% approval needed). - More "old-school" feel with new content fitting the 2007 aesthetic (e.g., Raids, Nightmare Zone). - Larger Twitch/YouTube presence (e.g., B0aty, Settled). RS3: - Jagex-driven updates (no voting system). - More high-level PvE content (e.g., Elder God Wars Dungeon, Necromancy). - Smaller but dedicated player base. Which One Should You Play? Play OSRS if you prefer nostalgia, slower progression, PvP, or a more "classic" MMO feel. Play RS3 if you like modern MMO mechanics, faster progression, or high-end PvE bossing. Both games are free-to-play (F2P), but membership unlocks the full experience. Many players enjoy both! Would you like a recommendation based on your playstyle?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
