In Old School RuneScape (OSRS) and RuneScape 3 (RS3), Farming is a skill that allows players to grow crops, herbs, trees, and other plants for profit, experience, or supplies. Heres a breakdown of how Farming works in both games: OSRS Farming Guide Basics: Seeds & Patches: Plants are grown in specific patches across Gielinor (e.g., allotments, herb patches, tree patches). Growth Cycles: Crops take time to grow (real-time, even when logged out). Protecting Plants: Use compost (regular, supercompost, ultracompost) to reduce disease risk or pay farmers to watch crops. Harvesting: Once fully grown, harvest for XP and resources. Key Farming Patches: Allotments (vegetables, flowers) - Common crops: Potatoes, Onions, Cabbages, Sweetcorn, Watermelons - Flowers protect allotments (e.g., Marigolds protect onions). Herbs (profitable) - Best herbs for profit: Ranarr, Snapdragon, Toadflax, Torstol - Always use ultracompost for more yield. Trees & Fruit Trees (best XP) - Regular Trees: Oak, Willow, Maple, Yew, Magic - Fruit Trees: Apple, Banana, Orange, Curry, Pineapple, Palm, Dragonfruit - Special Trees: Calquat (Karamja), Celastrus (Farming Guild), Redwood (Farming Guild) Bushes & Hops (low-maintenance) - Bushes: Poison ivy, Whiteberry - Hops: Yanillian, Jute Special Patches: - Hespori Patch (Farming Guild, grows Hespori for boss fights) - Hardwood Trees (Mahogany/Teak, Fossil Island) - Spirit Trees (requires 83 Farming) - Mushroom Patch (Canifis) Best Training Methods: Tree Runs (Fastest XP): - Plant highest-level trees (e.g., Magic/Yew) and fruit trees (Palm/Dragonfruit). - Pay farmers to protect them (e.g., 15 Papayas for Palm Trees). Herb Runs (Best Profit): - Farm Ranarr/Snapdragon with ultracompost. - Use Teleports (Ectophial, Camelot Teleport, Ardougne Cloak). Contracts (Farming Guild): - Complete Farm Contracts for extra seeds and XP. Helpful Items: Magic Secateurs (increases crop yield) Bottomless Compost Bucket (stores compost) Skill Necklace (teleport to Farming Guild) Lumbridge Elite Diary (free teleports to herb patches) RS3 Farming Guide Key Differences from OSRS: Player-Owned Farm (POV): Raise animals (cows, dragons, etc.) for XP and profit. Protean Traps: Can be used for AFK training. More Patches & Higher-Level Crops: - Elder Trees (highest-level trees) - Bloodweed (Wilderness herb) - Crystal Trees (Prifddinas) Best Training Methods (RS3): Player-Owned Farm (POV): - Breed animals (e.g., Zygomites, Dragons) for massive XP. Tree/Herb Runs: Similar to OSRS but with more patches. Warbands (D&D): Free Farming XP daily. General Tips for Both Games: Use Ultracompost (best for herbs/trees). Do Farm Runs Efficiently (prioritize high-XP trees & profitable herbs). Unlock Teleports (e.g., Explorers Ring, Spirit Trees, Farming Guild Teleport). Complete Diaries (e.g., Kandarin Hard Diary for extra herb yield). Would you like a more detailed guide on a specific aspect (e.g., herb runs, tree runs, POF in RS3)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
