rpg game to play with friends
Playing an RPG (Role-Playing Game) with friends can be a fantastic experience, whether you're gathering around a table or playing online. Here are some great options depending on your preferences: Tabletop RPGs (Pen & Paper) These are classic, imagination-driven games where one player (the Game Master) guides the story while others play as characters. Dungeons & Dragons (D&D 5e) The most popular fantasy RPG, great for beginners and veterans alike. Pathfinder (2e or 1e) A more complex alternative to D&D with deep character customization. Call of Cthulhu Horror-themed investigative RPG with a focus on mystery and sanity. Blades in the Dark Heist-based RPG with a dark, steampunk setting. Monster of the Week Supernatural investigation RPG inspired by shows like Supernatural and Buffy. Fiasco A GM-less, narrative-driven RPG where players create chaotic, often comedic stories. Best for: Groups who love storytelling, improvisation, and collaborative world-building. Digital RPGs (Online Multiplayer) If you want a video game experience, these are great for remote play: Baldurs Gate 3 (PC, PS5) A deep, story-driven RPG based on D&D 5e rules (up to 4-player co-op). Divinity: Original Sin 2 (PC, consoles) Tactical turn-based RPG with great multiplayer. Neverwinter (PC, consoles) Free-to-play MMORPG based on D&D. Outward (PC, consoles) A challenging open-world survival RPG with split-screen and online co-op. Tales of series (e.g., Tales of Arise, Tales of Vesperia) Action RPGs with fun co-op combat. Wasteland 3 (PC, consoles) Post-apocalyptic turn-based RPG with co-op. Best for: Friends who prefer structured gameplay over tabletop improvisation. Lightweight / Party RPGs If your group wants something quick and easy: Munchkin A humorous card game that parodies RPG tropes. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion A streamlined version of the acclaimed dungeon-crawler board game. For the Queen A story-driven card game where players build a narrative together. Best for: Casual gamers or as a warm-up before a full RPG session. Play-by-Post (Text-Based RPGs) If scheduling live sessions is hard, try asynchronous play: RoleGate (Website) Play text-based RPGs with friends over time. Discord + Dice Bots Use bots like Avrae (for D&D) to run games in chat. Best for: Groups with busy schedules who enjoy writing and slow-burn storytelling. How to Choose? For deep storytelling & creativity Tabletop RPGs (D&D, Call of Cthulhu) For tactical combat & progression Digital RPGs (BG3, Divinity 2) For quick, casual fun Munchkin or For the Queen Would you like recommendations based on group size or playstyle?

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
