Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

The PlayStation 1 (PS1) had a fantastic library of RPGs that helped define the genre during the late '90s and early 2000s. Here are some of the most iconic and beloved RPGs for the PS1: Must-Play PS1 RPGs: Final Fantasy VII (1997) The game that brought JRPGs to mainstream audiences with its epic story, memorable characters (Cloud, Sephiroth), and groundbreaking (for its time) 3D graphics. Final Fantasy VIII (1999) A divisive but ambitious follow-up with a unique Junction system, cinematic storytelling, and one of the best soundtracks in gaming. Final Fantasy IX (2000) A return to classic fantasy with a charming art style, deep characters, and an emotional story. Chrono Cross (1999) A spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger with a complex branching story, multiple endings, and a beautiful soundtrack. Xenogears (1998) A deep, philosophical RPG with mech combat (Gears), an intricate story, and a cult following. Suikoden II (1998) A masterpiece with 108 recruitable characters, political intrigue, and one of the best villain arcs in RPG history. Legend of Dragoon (1999) A Sony-developed RPG with a unique timing-based combat system (Additions) and an epic fantasy story. Vagrant Story (2000) A dark, dungeon-crawling RPG with deep weapon customization and a mature narrative. Breath of Fire III (1997) & Breath of Fire IV (2000) Great turn-based RPGs with dragon transformations and engaging stories. Star Ocean: The Second Story (1998) A sci-fi/fantasy RPG with real-time combat, multiple endings, and a deep crafting system. Wild Arms (1996) & Wild Arms 2 (1999) Western-themed RPGs with puzzle-solving and turn-based combat. Parasite Eve (1998) A horror-action RPG hybrid with real-time combat and a cinematic story. Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (1995, Japan-only until PSP remake) A deep tactical RPG by the creators of Final Fantasy Tactics. Alundra (1997) A Zelda-like action RPG with challenging puzzles and a dark story. Grandia (1997 in Japan, 1999 in the West) A charming adventure with innovative turn-based combat. Hidden Gems & Lesser-Known RPGs: Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (1998) A remastered version of the Sega CD classic with an anime-style story. Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete (2000) The sequel with improved gameplay and an emotional narrative. Valkyrie Profile (1999) A Norse mythology-based RPG with side-scrolling dungeons and unique character recruitment. Saiyuki: Journey West (1999) A strategy RPG based on Journey to the West. Kartia: The Word of Fate (1998) A tactical RPG with a unique card-based magic system. Honorable Mentions (Action RPGs & Hybrids): Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997) More of a Metroidvania but has RPG elements. Legend of Mana (1999) A non-linear action RPG with beautiful hand-drawn visuals. Threads of Fate (1999) A fun action RPG with two playable characters. Which One Should You Play First? If you want classic turn-based JRPG: Final Fantasy VII or Suikoden II. If you prefer deep, complex stories: Xenogears or Vagrant Story. If you like tactical RPGs: Final Fantasy Tactics or Valkyrie Profile. If you want real-time combat: Star Ocean: The Second Story or Parasite Eve. Would you like recommendations based on a specific style (turn-based, action, strategy)? Or are you looking for rare/expensive titles?

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
