Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

The Quake series is a legendary franchise in the first-person shooter (FPS) genre, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks (later titles). Heres a breakdown of the main games and key details: ### Main Quake Games: 1. Quake (1996) - The original game revolutionized 3D FPS with its fast-paced combat, dark fantasy/sci-fi setting, and multiplayer. - Featured the iconic "Ranger" protagonist battling enemies like Shamblers and Fiends. - Introduced QuakeWorld (improved netcode) and popularized online multiplayer. - Soundtrack by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). 2. Quake II (1997) - Shifted to a sci-fi setting (Strogg alien race) with a new protagonist. - Introduced mission-based levels and a cohesive campaign. - Later expanded with Quake II 64 (N64) and Quake 4 (2005, by Raven Software). 3. Quake III Arena (1999) - Pure multiplayer focus with arena-style deathmatches. - Became an esports staple with mechanics like strafe-jumping and rocket jumping. - Later re-released as Quake Live (2010, browser-based) and Quake Champions (2017, hero-based). 4. Quake 4 (2005) - Direct sequel to Quake II, developed by Raven Software. - Single-player campaign with squad-based elements and vehicular combat. - Used a modified Doom 3 engine. 5. Quake Champions (2017) - Free-to-play hero shooter with unique champions (e.g., Ranger, Nyx, Scalebearer). - Mixed classic Quake III gameplay with modern mechanics. - Still updated but has a niche player base. ### Spin-offs & Re-releases: - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (2007) Class-based multiplayer shooter set in the Quake II universe. - Quake (2021 Remaster) Enhanced version of Quake with new expansions, crossplay, and modern controls. - Quake II (2023 Remaster) Similar treatment with restored content and improved visuals. ### Legacy: - Pioneered modern FPS mechanics (mouse look, multiplayer mods). - Inspired games like Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, and DOOM (2016). - The Quake Engine (id Tech 2/3) influenced countless games. Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
