Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Of course! The 2000s were the golden age of free online Flash games. Before smartphones and app stores, these browser-based games were how many of us spent our time. Heres a guide to reliving that era. How to Play Them Today (The Flash Problem) Since Adobe Flash was discontinued in 2020, you can't play these games in a modern browser directly. You need an emulator: The Best Solution: Flashpoint (by BlueMaxima) What it is: A massive, curated archive of tens of thousands of Flash and Shockwave games and animations. Why it's great: It's a standalone application. You download the launcher and the games you want. No browser plugins needed. It's safe, legal (preserves historical content), and the definitive way to experience these games. Website: bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/ Online Archives: The Internet Archive's Flash Collection: They have a "Flash Emulation" project where you can play some games directly in your browser via their Ruffle emulator. Sites like Y8.com, Kongregate, and Newgrounds: Many have aggressively converted their libraries to HTML5 or use the Ruffle emulator. You can often still play classics there. Iconic Games & Where to Find Them Here are quintessential 2000s games, categorized. Many are playable on the sites above. Puzzle & Time Management Diner Dash (and all the Dash games): The definitive time-management series. Seat customers, serve food, clear tables! Bloons Tower Defense (The original BTD series): Start with BTD 3, 4, or 5. Endless hours of popping balloons with monkey towers. Desktop Tower Defense: The game that sparked the modern TD craze. Build mazes on your virtual desktop. Bejeweled / Zuma: Match gems or shoot colored balls from a frog. Incredibly addictive. Action & Platformers The Fancy Pants Adventures: Incredibly fluid hand-drawn platforming. The sequels (Worlds 1, 2, 3) are masterpieces. Boxhead (2Play Rooms): Top-down zombie shooter with simple graphics and insane replayability. Stick RPG & Stick Arena: Early browser-based RPG and multiplayer shooter phenomena. Thing Thing & Raze: Gory, violent stick-figure shooters that were shockingly well-made. Sonny: A deep, turn-based RPG with a zombie protagonist. Hugely popular. Physics & Strategy Crush the Castle or Angry Birds: The precursor to Angry Birds! Launch trebuchets to destroy castles. Cursed Treasure: A brilliant tower defense where you play as the "bad guy" defending your treasure. The "Tactics" Games (e.g., Epic Battle Fantasy, Kingdom Rush): Deep, humorous RPGs and tower defense games. Multiplayer & Social Games (Pre-Facebook) Club Penguin / Neopets / Habbo Hotel: Virtual worlds where you chatted, played mini-games, and customized your avatar. Runescape: The massive, free-to-play MMORPG that defined a generation. (Still actively running and updated!) Transformice: A chaotic multiplayer platformer where mice try to get cheese with the help of a shaman. Weird & Wonderful (Newgrounds Era) The "Dad 'n Me" / "Pico's School" series: The iconic, edgy Newgrounds shooters. Interactive Buddy: Poke, hit, and torment a little stick figure. Line Rider: Draw tracks for a sledder to ride. Simple and creative. *QWOP / TUG THE TABLE: The original "so bad it's good" physics games. Key Websites of the Era (Many Still Exist!) Kongregate: Known for its achievement system and high-quality games. Still a major player. Newgrounds: The anarchic, creative hub for games, animations, and music. The heart of Flash culture. Miniclip: Home to classics like 8 Ball Pool, Agar.io (later), and countless others. AddictingGames: A massive portal with a huge variety. Armor Games / CrazyGames / Y8: Other major portals with vast libraries. Tips for Your Nostalgia Trip Start with Flashpoint. It's the most reliable and complete museum of this era. Expect simple graphics and gameplay. The charm was in the instant accessibility and clever ideas. Sound on! Many games had incredible, catchy chiptune or looped soundtracks. Search for "series." If you find one you like (e.g., "Henry Stickmin", "Fireboy and Watergirl"), there are often multiple sequels. Enjoy your trip back to a time when a new tab could lead to an entire afternoon of simple, creative fun!

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
