play free games reddit
Of course! Reddit is one of the best places to find, discuss, and get recommendations for free games. Heres a guide to the key subreddits and how to use them. Top Subreddits for Finding Free Games r/FreeGames - The main hub. Posts are primarily about temporarily free games (mostly on PC from stores like Steam, Epic, GOG, itch.io). r/FreeGameFindings - Very active and focused on the hunt. It uses flags like [Steam], [Epic], [Android] and tracks giveaways, even for in-game items (DLC, packs). r/GameDealsFree - A filtered view from the larger r/GameDeals, showing only posts tagged as "Free". r/FreeGamesOnSteam - Exactly what it sounds like. Focuses solely on free games and DLC on Steam. r/itchioJusticeBundle - (Now quieter) Was central during big charity bundles. Still useful for finding posts about great pay-what-you-want bundles on itch.io, which are essentially tons of games for a few dollars. Subreddits for Recommendations & Discussion r/ShouldIbuythisgame - Use the [FREE] tag in your post title. Great for asking "Is this free game worth my time?" r/gamingsuggestions - Ask for suggestions for free games in a specific genre (e.g., "Free co-op games like Deep Rock Galactic?"). r/AndroidGaming & r/iosgaming - Essential for mobile. Use the [FREE] flair to filter or ask for suggestions. r/MMORPG - The go-to place for discussions and recommendations about free-to-play MMOs. r/patientgamers - While not exclusively for free games, discussions often cover older or overlooked gems, many of which can be found cheaply or for free. Genre-Specific & Platform Subreddits r/WebGames - For free browser-based games. Perfect for a quick fix. r/roguelikes & r/roguelites - Many fantastic free/opensource classics (e.g., Caves of Qud, Brogue, Cataclysm: DARK). r/visualnovels - Has discussions and recommendations for free VNs. r/linux_gaming - Often highlights free, open-source, or compatible games. How to Use Reddit Effectively for This: Sort by "Hot" or "New": On giveaway subreddits, sort by New to catch deals as they drop. For discussion, sort by Hot. Use the Search!: Search a subreddit for "free" or "F2P". Search all of Reddit with terms like "best free games" site:reddit.com. Read the Comments: On giveaway posts, the top comment often has vital info: "Is it free to keep?" "Is it region-locked?" "Is it a good game?" Beware of Keys/Region Locks: Some free giveaways are for limited Steam keys that can expire or be region-restricted. Comments will usually warn you. Popular Free Games Frequently Praised on Reddit: PC: Path of Exile, Warframe, Destiny 2 (Base Game), Team Fortress 2, Apex Legends, The Sims 4 (Base Game), Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail. Open Source/Fan Projects: OpenTTD, OpenRCT2, Super Mario 64 PC Port (requires ROM). Classic Freeware: Cave Story (original free version), Dwarf Fortress (free classic version is still available). Epic Games Store: They give away 1-2 free games every week. r/FreeGameFindings always posts these. Pro Tip: The Epic Games Store weekly giveaway and itch.io's "Pay What You Want" charity bundles are consistently highlighted on Reddit as the best sources for high-quality free games. Start with r/FreeGameFindings and r/ShouldIbuythisgame, and you'll be set! Happy gaming

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
