Of course! You can play a wide variety of free-to-start and free-to-play games on Nintendo Switch. Heres a breakdown of the main categories and how to get them. Free-to-Play Games (The Most Popular) These are games you can download and play entirely for free, but they offer in-game purchases (microtransactions) for cosmetics, battle passes, or currency. Fortnite: The battle royale giant. Includes Zero Build mode. Apex Legends: Fast-paced hero-based battle royale. Rocket League: Soccer with rocket-powered cars. Fall Guys: Wacky, colorful obstacle course battle royale. Pokémon UNITE: A team-based MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) featuring Pokémon. Ninjala: A free-to-play action brawler with a bubblegum aesthetic. Asphalt 9: Legends: High-octane arcade racing. Warframe: A deep, co-op sci-fi action RPG (often called "the best free game on any platform"). How to get them: Go to the Nintendo eShop on your Switch, select "Search/Browse," then choose the "Free to play" filter. Free Game Demos & Trials Nintendo and other publishers frequently release free demos that let you try a portion of a paid game. Nintendo First-Party Demos: Games like Pikmin 4, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince often have generous demos. Progress usually carries over to the full game. Indie & Third-Party Demos: Hundreds of games offer demos, especially during events like Nintendo Directs or seasonal eShop sales. It's a great way to try before you buy. Nintendo Switch Online Trials: With a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you occasionally get access to "Game Trials" where you can play the full game for free for a limited time (e.g., a week). How to find them: In the eShop, look for the "Demos" section or check the game's specific listing for a "Download Demo" button. Free-to-Start Games These are essentially extended demos or games with a generous free portion that requires payment to unlock the full experience. Pokémon Quest: A cute, blocky action RPG with free-to-start mechanics. Super Kirby Clash: A team-based boss-rush adventure with free-to-play elements. PAC-MAN 99 / Tetris 99: These were fantastic free battle royale titles for Nintendo Switch Online members, but their online services have been discontinued. Tetris 99 is still playable in offline modes if you already had it. Games Included with Nintendo Switch Online If you pay for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, you get access to classic games at no additional cost: NES & SNES - Nintendo Switch Online: A growing library of classic Nintendo and third-party titles like Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda, Super Metroid, and EarthBound. Game Boy & GBA - Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: With the more expensive Expansion Pack tier, you get libraries of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games (like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion). Nintendo 64 & SEGA Genesis - Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: This tier also includes classics like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. How to Download Free Games: Turn on your Nintendo Switch and connect to the internet. Open the Nintendo eShop (the orange shopping bag icon). Select the account you want to use. Use the search function or navigate to the "Great Deals" section, which has subsections for "Free to play" and "Demos." Select the game you want and click "Free Download" or "Download Demo." Important Tips: Internet Connection: Most free-to-play games require a persistent internet connection. Microtransactions: Be aware of in-game purchases. You can set up Parental Controls on the Switch to restrict spending. Nintendo Account: You'll need one to download anything from the eShop. Storage: Free games like Warframe or Fortnite* can be large. You may need a microSD card. In short: Head to the Nintendo eShop, check the "Free to play" and "Demos" sections, and you'll have plenty of games to try without spending a dime!

Venture into the depths of Azeroth itself in this groundbreaking expansion. Face new threats emerging from the planet's core, explore mysterious underground realms, and uncover secrets that will reshape your understanding of the Warcraft universe forever.
The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
