paladin final fantasy xiv
In Final Fantasy XIV, the Paladin (PLD) is a tank job known for its defensive capabilities, self-healing, and support utility. Heres a breakdown of its key features: Job Overview Role: Tank (Mitigation-focused with healing/support tools). Weapon: Swords & Shields. Armor: Heavy (Plate). Playstyle: Balanced between physical and magical mitigation, with strong party utility. Key Abilities & Mechanics Defensive Tools: - Rampart: Reduces damage taken by 20% for 20s. - Sentinel: 30% damage reduction for 10s. - Sheltron (Oath Gauge spender): Blocks/parries attacks (now a short CD mitigation). - Holy Sheltron: Upgraded Sheltron with healing over time (HoT). - Passage of Arms: Party-wide shield (channeled). Self-Sustain: - Clemency: Strong heal (can target allies). - Holy Spirit/Holy Circle: Magic attacks that restore HP via Requiescat. Damage Rotation: - Physical Phase: Melee combo (Royal Authority/Goring Blade). - Magic Phase: Requiescat buff enhances magic spells (Holy Spirit/Confiteor combo). - Fight or Flight: Physical damage buff (aligns with physical phase). Utility: - Intervention: Shares mitigation with another tank/party member. - Cover: Takes damage for a targeted ally (situational but useful). Strengths & Weaknesses Pros: Excellent party mitigation (Passage of Arms, Intervention). High survivability (Clemency, Holy Sheltron). Simple rotation (good for beginners). Strong in prog (learning fights) due to sustain. Cons: Lower personal DPS than other tanks. Clunky mobility (no gap closer until Lv. 74). MP management can be awkward. Paladin in Endgame (Current Patch 6.4) Raiding: Viable in all content, though often considered the "weaker" tank for speed runs due to lower damage. Solo Content: Extremely durable (great for deep dungeons, solo heal checks). Party Synergy: Excels in fights with heavy magic damage (magic mitigation via Divine Veil). Unlock Requirements Start as Gladiator (Uldah). Unlock Paladin at Lv. 30 after completing the Gladiator class quests. Fun Fact Paladins LB3 (Last Bastion) summons a giant floating sword to protect the partya flashy and thematic finish! Would you like tips on rotations, gear, or specific fight strategies?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
