While "Top 10" lists are subjective and change based on genre preference (romance, family drama, thriller), the following are widely considered the most iconic, critically acclaimed, and culturally significant Pakistani dramas of all time. These are ranked by their impact on the industry, viewership, and lasting legacy. Humsafar (2011) Genre: Romantic Drama / Family Saga Why it's #1: This drama changed the landscape of Pakistani television forever. Starring Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, it became a massive hit in South Asia and the diaspora. The story of Khirad and Ashar, filled with misunderstandings, an evil mother-in-law, and ultimate reconciliation, set the template for modern PTV dramas. Legacy: The "Humsafar effect" made Fawad Khan a household name across the border and launched a new era of high-budget serials. Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012) Genre: Social Drama / Romance Why it's iconic: Starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, this is a story about class disparity and gender roles. It follows Kashaf, a poor, ambitious girl, and Zaroon, a wealthy, carefree boy. The dialogues, the character development, and the mature handling of marriage are exceptional. Legacy: Often considered the most "perfectly written" drama, with a cult following for its realistic portrayal of middle-class struggles. Dastaan (2010) Genre: Historical Tragedy / Partition Drama Why it's iconic: Based on a novel by Razia Butt, this is a heart-wrenching story of love and loss during the Partition of India. Fawad Khan and Sanam Baloch deliver career-best performances. It is not a light watch but is considered a masterpiece of storytelling. Legacy: Known for its haunting soundtrack ("Hum Dekhenge") and its unflinching look at the horrors of Partition. Pyaar Ke Sadqay (2020) Genre: Modern Romance / Quirky Comedy Why it's iconic: This is a modern classic. Starring Bilal Abbas Khan and Yumna Zaidi, it broke the mold of traditional love stories. The male lead (Abdullah) is a cocky, simple-minded "Mullah" (religious student), and the female lead (Mahjabeen) is a girl who is seen as a "cursed" divorcee. Their chemistry is electric and the humor is sharp. Legacy: Revived the romantic comedy genre with a unique, intelligent script. Yeh Raha Dil (2017) Genre: Romantic Drama Why it's iconic: This drama defined the "rich girl/poor boy" trope perfectly. Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt (OKB) have incredible chemistry. Its a story of love, pride, and misunderstandings, but the direction and the raw performances make it unforgettable. Legacy: Known for its intense emotional scenes and a very satisfying, mature ending. Udaari (2016) Genre: Social Issue Drama (Child Sexual Abuse) Why it's iconic: This is a landmark drama for its bold subject matter. It tackled child sexual abuse and the journey of a young girl seeking justice. Starring Urwa Hocane, Farhan Saeed, and the legendary Bushra Ansari (as the villain), it was a massive step forward for Pakistani television. Legacy: Won numerous awards and sparked a national conversation about a taboo topic. Mere Paas Tum Ho (2019) Genre: Social Drama / Thriller Why it's iconic: A massive social media phenomenon. The dialogue "Mere paas tum ho, tumhare paas kya hai?" became a national meme. Starring Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, and Adnan Siddiqui, its a story of a wife who leaves her loving but unsuccessful husband for a wealthy man. Legacy: The highest-rated drama in Pakistan's history (based on TRPs) and a cultural moment, despite mixed critical reviews. Sun Zara (2017) Genre: Romantic Drama / Family Why it's iconic: A sleeper hit that became a fan favorite. Imran Abbas and Maya Ali star in a story about a free-spirited girl (Saba) and a rigid, wealthy man (Aamir). The chemistry and the iconic "Kuch Toh Log Kahenge" soundtrack made it a daily watch. Legacy: Known for its beautiful visuals and the "bad boy" redemption arc. Alpha Bravo Charlie (1998) Genre: Military Drama / Action Why it's iconic: The ultimate classic from the "golden age" of PTV. Directed by Shoaib Mansoor, it follows the lives of three young men in the Pakistan Army. It was a cultural phenomenon in the 90s, blending patriotism, romance, and action. Legacy: A defining show for an entire generation. It set the standard for high-budget TV production in Pakistan. Sammi (2017) / Aunn Zara (2013) (Tie) Sammi: A rural drama about a simple-minded girl forced into a complex marriage. Starring Saba Qamar, its a powerful story of resilience and survival against patriarchy. (Extremely highly rated). Aunn Zara: A light-hearted, modern family comedy. Starring Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt, its one of the most re-watchable Pakistani dramas, filled with witty dialogues and a perfect balance of humor and romance. Honorable Mentions (Also Top-Tier): Jackson Heights (A unique drama about the Pakistani diaspora in New York). Kuch Ankahi (A modern drama about family and class, similar in vibe to Zindagi Gulzar Hai). Churails (A web-series, but considered a modern masterpiece about feminism and patriarchy). Dhoop Ki Deewar (A cross-border love story set against the backdrop of the 1971 war, very poignant). If you are new to Pakistani dramas, start with: Zindagi Gulzar Hai (for modern drama) or Humsafar (for classic romance).

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
