Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Here is a comprehensive overview of online casinos in Ohio, covering the legal landscape, whats available, and what to expect. The Short Answer: Is Online Casino Gambling Legal in Ohio? No, it is not currently legal. While Ohio has legalized and regulated online sports betting (sportsbooks) and online lottery (Keno, scratch-offs) , it has not passed legislation to authorize full-scale online casino games like online slots, blackjack, roulette, or live dealer games. There are no legal, state-licensed online casinos operating in Ohio at this time. What IS Legal and Available in Ohio? To be clear, here's the breakdown of what you can legally do online in Ohio right now: Activity Legal Status in Ohio Examples : : : Online Sports Betting Legal & Live (since Jan 1, 2023) FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, Fanatics Online Lottery (Keno, Scratch-offs) Legal & Live Ohio Lottery website & app Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Legal & Live DraftKings, FanDuel (DFS contests) Social & Sweepstakes Casinos Legal & Live Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, Stake.us Real-Money Online Casinos (Slots, Table Games) NOT Legal No state-licensed operators What is a "Social Casino" and Are They Safe? Since real-money online casinos are illegal, many Ohioans use social casinos or sweepstakes casinos. These are legal because they operate on a "sweepstakes" model, not direct gambling. How they work: You buy Gold Coins (for fun, no cash value). You get Sweeps Coins (SC) as a bonus or by mail-in request. You play games using SC, and if you win, you can redeem SC for real cash prizes. Are they safe? Legitimate ones (like Chumba, LuckyLand, Global Poker, Stake.us) are licensed in other jurisdictions (e.g., Malta, Curaçao) and are legal to use in the US. They are not illegal in Ohio. However, they are not regulated by the Ohio Casino Control Commission. The Future: Will Ohio Legalize Online Casinos? It's possible, but not imminent. Legislative Status: Bills have been introduced in the Ohio General Assembly (e.g., House Bill 308 in the 2023-2024 session), but none have passed. Key Opposition: The biggest hurdle is the existing physical casino and racinos (e.g., Hollywood Columbus, Hard Rock Cincinnati, MGM Northfield Park). They are concerned that online casinos would cannibalize their in-person business, which funds state tax revenue. They have significant lobbying power. Timeline: Most experts don't expect legal online casino gambling in Ohio for at least 3-5 years, if at all. The state's focus remains on solidifying the sports betting market. What About "Offshore" Online Casinos? Many websites not based in the US (e.g., Bovada, BetOnline, Wild Casino) accept players from Ohio. Legality: They operate in a legal gray area. It is generally not illegal for a player to place a bet on them, but the sites themselves are operating in violation of Ohio's gambling laws. Risks: - No consumer protection: If they refuse to pay, you have no recourse with the Ohio Casino Control Commission. - Unreliable payouts: Withdrawals can be slow or problematic. - No responsible gambling tools: They are not required to offer deposit limits, time-outs, or self-exclusion programs. - Security risks: Your personal and financial data is handled by an unregulated entity. Recommendation: It is strongly advised to avoid offshore casinos due to the lack of safety, security, and legal recourse. Summary & Recommendations for Ohio Players For Real-Money Action: Your only fully legal, regulated options are online sportsbooks (like FanDuel, DraftKings) and the Ohio Lottery. For Casino Game Experience: Your safest legal options are social casinos (Chumba, LuckyLand, etc.). They offer slots and table games without breaking the law. Do NOT Use Offshore Casinos: The risk of not getting paid, data theft, and lack of regulation is not worth it. Wait for the Future: Keep an eye on the Ohio legislature. If online casinos become legal, the state will issue licenses to major operators (like the ones running the physical casinos). Bottom line: You cannot legally play real-money online slots, blackjack, or roulette in Ohio today. Stick to sportsbooks and social casinos for a legal and safe experience.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
