Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Here is a comprehensive overview of the legal status of online casinos in Louisiana, based on current laws and regulations. The Short Answer Real-money online casino gaming (slots, table games, poker) is NOT currently legal in Louisiana. However, Louisiana has a very active and legal online sports betting market and a rapidly growing daily fantasy sports (DFS) scene. Many people confuse these with online casinos, so it's important to know the difference. What IS Legal in Louisiana? Louisiana has been a leader in the South for legalized gambling, but it has taken a piecemeal approach. Here's what you can legally do online: Online Sports Betting (Legal & Operational) Status: Fully legal and launched in early 2022. How it works: You must be physically located within the state of Louisiana to place a bet. Geolocation technology on your phone or computer ensures this. Major Operators: You can use apps like DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, Barstool Sportsbook, BetRivers, and many more. These are all licensed and regulated by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. Key Detail: You can bet on sports, but you cannot play online slots or table games through these apps. Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) (Legal) Status: Legalized and regulated since 2018. How it works: You build a fantasy roster of real athletes and compete based on their statistical performance. Major Operators: DraftKings and FanDuel are the two dominant players, offering their DFS contests alongside their sportsbook apps in the state. The State Lottery (Legal) Status: The Louisiana Lottery Corporation operates online sales for its own draw games (like Powerball, Mega Millions, and scratch-offs). How it works: You can purchase lottery tickets online through the official Louisiana Lottery website or app. This is a state-run monopoly and not an online casino. What is NOT Legal (and Why)? Real-Money Online Casinos (iGaming) are NOT legal. This includes: Online Slots Online Blackjack, Roulette, Craps Online Poker (for real money) Any site offering "online casino" games with real-money payouts Why? The Louisiana legislature has not yet passed a bill to legalize and regulate online casino games. The political will has focused on sports betting, which was seen as a way to capture revenue from illegal offshore books and boost the state's budget. A push for full-scale iGaming (online casinos) is expected in future legislative sessions, but it has not happened yet. The Danger of "Offshore" (Illegal) Online Casinos Since legal, regulated online casinos don't exist in Louisiana, you will find hundreds of websites that claim to accept Louisiana players. These are unlicensed, offshore operators. You should avoid them for these reasons: No Consumer Protections: If you win a large amount, they can simply refuse to pay you. You have no legal recourse in Louisiana or the US. Unfair Games: There is no independent testing to ensure their games are fair and random. The "house edge" could be much higher than advertised. Security Risks: These sites often have poor security, making your personal and financial information vulnerable to theft. Illegal Activity: While you are unlikely to be prosecuted as a player, operating an offshore casino is a crime. You are funding an unregulated, illegal enterprise. No Problem Gambling Resources: Legal operators are required to provide links to self-exclusion programs and responsible gambling tools. Offshore sites do not. The Future of Online Casinos in Louisiana It is very likely that Louisiana will legalize online casinos in the coming years. Political Momentum: After the success and tax revenue from online sports betting, legislators are already discussing "iGaming" bills. Economic Incentive: The state sees the massive revenue generated by states like New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan from online casinos and wants a piece of it. Tribal Support: Many of the state's Native American tribes, who operate land-based casinos, are interested in an online component to compete with illegal sites. Key people to watch: The Louisiana Gaming Control Board and key state senators like Senator Kirk Talbot, who has been a central figure in gambling legislation. Summary Table for Louisiana Activity Legal Status Where to Do It : : : Online Sports Betting LEGAL DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, etc. (must be in state) Daily Fantasy Sports LEGAL DraftKings, FanDuel State Lottery Online LEGAL Louisiana Lottery website/app Online Slots/Table Games NOT LEGAL Do not play on offshore sites Online Poker (Real Money) NOT LEGAL Do not play on offshore sites Final Advice: Enjoy the excellent legal sports betting and DFS options in Louisiana. If you see an ad for an "online casino" in Louisiana, it is an illegal, offshore operation. Stay safe and wait for the state to properly regulate online casinos, which is likely just a few years away.

Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
