Fantasy MMORPG PvE Raids Guilds

Both New World and Black Desert Online (BDO) are popular MMORPGs, but they cater to different playstyles and preferences. Heres a detailed comparison to help you decide which might suit you better: Setting & Atmosphere New World: A fantasy-themed colonial-era setting with supernatural elements. Focuses on exploration, settlement-building, and faction warfare. BDO: A high-fantasy Asian-inspired world with rich lore, dynamic combat, and a more traditional MMORPG feel. Verdict: Prefer historical fantasy? New World. Like flashy, anime-style fantasy? BDO. Combat System New World: Action-based combat with a focus on timing, dodging, and weapon mastery (no tab-targeting). Slower, more deliberate, and weighty. BDO: Fast-paced, combo-driven action combat with fluid animations and high mobility. More arcade-like and skill-intensive. Verdict: Prefer tactical, slower combat? New World. Like fast, combo-heavy action? BDO. PvP & PvE Content New World: - PvP: Open-world faction wars, territory control, and structured 50v50 battles. - PvE: Dungeons (Expeditions), world bosses, and seasonal updates with new storylines. BDO: - PvP: Large-scale node/siege wars, open-world PvP (with karma penalties), and arena duels. - PvE: Grindy mob farming, life skills, and solo/group boss fights. Verdict: Want large-scale faction battles? New World. Prefer guild-based siege warfare? BDO. Economy & Crafting New World: Deep crafting and gathering system where players drive the economy. Housing and territory upgrades matter. BDO: Complex life skills (fishing, trading, horse breeding) with an AFK-friendly economy. Heavy reliance on the Central Market. Verdict: Like player-driven economies? New World. Prefer lifeskilling and AFK profits? BDO. Progression & Grind New World: Leveling is quest-heavy early on, but endgame revolves around gear score grinding and faction rep. BDO: Extremely grindy for silver (currency) and gear upgrades (enhancement system is RNG-heavy). Verdict: Hate excessive grind? New World. Dont mind endless mob farming? BDO. Monetization New World: Buy-to-play with optional cosmetics and DLCs (no pay-to-win). BDO: Free-to-play (with limitations) or buy-to-play (one-time purchase). Heavy cash shop (convenience items, pets, costumes that boost stats). Verdict: Prefer no P2W? New World. Willing to spend for convenience? BDO. Graphics & Performance New World: Stunning environments, realistic lighting, but heavier system requirements. BDO: Beautiful but stylized graphics, well-optimized for older systems. Verdict: Want realism? New World. Prefer stylized visuals? BDO. Which One Should You Play? Play New World if you: - Prefer Western-style MMORPGs with faction-based PvP. - Enjoy crafting, housing, and territory control. - Want a buy-to-play model with no P2W. Play BDO if you: - Love fast, combo-driven combat. - Dont mind grinding or cash shop conveniences. - Enjoy lifeskilling and sandbox elements. Final Thoughts New World is better for casual-friendly PvP and crafting. BDO is better for hardcore grinders and action combat lovers. Great raids, some bugs

The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
