Amazon Game Studios has announced the game for release on October 15, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XS, alongside ongoing updates for the PC version. Player Count Expectations Since the game isnt out yet, there are no official player count numbers. However, we can make some educated guesses based on trends: PC Precedent The original New World on PC saw massive hype at launch (over 900,000 concurrent players in 2021) but later stabilized to 15,00030,000 peak concurrent players in 2024 before the Aeternum announcement. Console Potential If Amazon markets Aeternum well, it could attract a fresh wave of console players, possibly pushing concurrent numbers higher than current PC levels. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
