mmorpg you can play solo
If you're looking for MMORPGs that can be enjoyed solo, here are some great options where you can progress without heavy reliance on groups or guilds: Best Solo-Friendly MMORPGs The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) - Strong story-driven content with fully voiced quests. - Solo-friendly combat and scaling system. - Can complete most dungeons with NPC companions (added in recent updates). Guild Wars 2 - Dynamic open-world events that dont require grouping. - No gear treadmill, making solo progression rewarding. - Personal storylines and expansion content are soloable. Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) - Main story quests (MSQ) are mostly soloable (duty support for dungeons). - Trust system lets you run dungeons with NPC allies. - Strong narrative focus, great for solo players. Black Desert Online (BDO) - Action combat with deep solo grinding and lifeskills (fishing, trading, etc.). - No mandatory groupingmost content is solo-friendly. - Heavy focus on open-world PvE and economy. Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) - Fully voiced class stories that feel like single-player RPGs. - Companions help in combat, making solo play smooth. - Most content can be done alone, except for raids. Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) - Rich lore and story-driven quests, great for Tolkien fans. - Most landscape content is soloable (some group dungeons optional). New World - Open-world exploration and crafting are solo-friendly. - Main story and side quests can be done alone. - Some expeditions (dungeons) require groups but arent mandatory. Honorable Mentions RuneScape (OSRS & RS3) Mostly solo skilling and questing. Albion Online Soloable in yellow/blue zones (avoid full-loot PvP areas). World of Warcraft (Retail) Leveling and world quests are solo-friendly, but endgame leans toward groups. Key Features for Solo Players Scaling systems (so you dont need a group for low-level zones). NPC companions (like in SWTOR or FFXIV). Strong story content (ESO, SWTOR, FFXIV). Open-world freedom (BDO, GW2). If you prefer a true single-player experience but with MMO-like mechanics, consider: Dragon Age / The Witcher series (story-driven RPGs). Monster Hunter: World/Rise (co-op optional). Genshin Impact (online but mostly solo). Would you like recommendations based on a specific playstyle (story, combat, crafting, etc.)?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
