The Nintendo Switch has a growing library of MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games), though the selection is more limited compared to PC. Here are some of the best MMORPGs available on the Switch: Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (Free-to-Play) - A sci-fi action MMORPG with fast-paced combat, character customization, and co-op gameplay. - Features cross-play with Xbox and PC. - Free-to-play with optional in-game purchases. Temtem (Not a traditional MMORPG but has MMO elements) - A creature-collection game inspired by Pokémon but with online multiplayer features. - Includes co-op battles, trading, and an open-world experience. - Paid game with no subscription. Skyforge (Free-to-Play) - A fantasy MMORPG where players become immortal warriors (Immortals). - Action-based combat with a class-switching system. - Free-to-play with optional microtransactions. DC Universe Online (Free-to-Play) - A superhero MMORPG where you create your own hero or villain. - Features iconic DC characters and storylines. - Free-to-play with premium content available. Warframe (Free-to-Play, More of a Co-op Looter Shooter) - Not a traditional MMORPG but has persistent online worlds and RPG elements. - Fast-paced sci-fi action with deep customization. - Free-to-play with optional purchases. Dragon Quest X Offline (Japan Only, No English Release) - An offline version of the popular MMORPG Dragon Quest X. - Currently only available in Japan with no announced localization. The Elder Scrolls: Blades (Free-to-Play, Not a Full MMORPG) - A simplified Elder Scrolls experience with online elements. - More of a dungeon crawler than an MMORPG. Upcoming/Unconfirmed MMORPGs for Switch - Blue Protocol (Unconfirmed for Switch, but Bandai Namco has expressed interest.) - Tarisland (A new cross-platform MMORPG, potential Switch release.) Alternative Online RPGs (Not Full MMORPGs) - Diablo II: Resurrected / Diablo III (Online multiplayer ARPGs) - Torchlight II / III (Online co-op ARPGs) - Dauntless (Free-to-play Monster Hunter-like co-op RPG) Final Thoughts If you're looking for a true MMORPG on Switch, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis and Skyforge are the best options. The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
